以撒四十歲、娶利百加為妻、利百加乃巴旦亞蘭地亞蘭人彼土利之女、亞蘭人拉班之妹、

昔雅各遁至亞蘭地、以色列為得妻服事人、為得妻牧群畜、

是乃利亞在巴旦亞蘭、從雅各所生之子及孫、與女底拿、共三十三人、

雅各自巴旦亞蘭歸後、天主復顯現、許之以福、

主所施於僕之恩寵真實、即至微者亦不堪受、昔惟持一仗濟此約但、今令我群從已成二隊、

拉班與彼土利答曰、事乃由主、我儕不能向爾言是言非、

於是以撒遣雅各往巴旦亞蘭、投亞蘭人彼土利子拉班、即雅各以掃之母利百加兄、

是事後、有人告亞伯拉罕云、密迦從爾弟拿鶴生子、長子烏斯、弟布斯、與亞蘭父基母利、基薛、哈瑣、必達、益拉、彼土利、此八人、皆密迦從亞伯拉罕之弟拿鶴所生、彼土列生女利百加、

利百加有兄名拉班、趨出、往就其人於泉旁、

即在巴旦亞蘭所獲者、往迦南地、見父以撒、

言未竟、有利百加負瓶於肩而出、利百加即彼土利所生、彼土利乃亞伯拉罕弟拿鶴之子、即拿鶴妻密迦所出、其女甚美麗、尚為處女、未曾適人、下至泉旁汲水、盈瓶而上、僕趨迎之曰、請以瓶中水、飲我少許、女曰、吾主請飲、乃急下瓶於手以飲之、飲畢、女又曰、我更汲水飲爾之駝、使駝飲足、女急傾瓶水於槽、復趨至泉汲水、乃為諸駝汲也、其人奇之、默然不語、欲知主果賜以坦途否、駝既飲畢、其人取金鼻環一、重半舍客勒、一舍客勒約五錢金手釧二、重十舍客勒、予女、曰、請告我、爾為誰之女、爾父家有隙地、可容我宿否、曰、我乃彼土利之女、拿鶴與密迦之孫女、

於是僕由其主人之駝中取十駝、又於主人之家內攜各品財帛、起而往兩河間亞蘭、乃至拿鶴所居之邑、
