And he was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”

He was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”

Jacob was afraid. He said,“ How holy this place is! This must be the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.”

And he was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”

But he was also afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”

but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Moreover He said,“ I am the God of your father— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.

Then God said to Jacob,“ Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there; and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother.”And Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him,“ Put away the foreign gods that are among you, purify yourselves, and change your garments.Then let us arise and go up to Bethel; and I will make an altar there to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me in the way which I have gone.”So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods which were in their hands, and the earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the terebinth tree which was by Shechem.And they journeyed, and the terror of God was upon the cities that were all around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.So Jacob came to Luz( that is, Bethel), which is in the land of Canaan, he and all the people who were with him.And he built an altar there and called the place El Bethel, because there God appeared to him when he fled from the face of his brother.Now Deborah, Rebekah’s nurse, died, and she was buried below Bethel under the terebinth tree. So the name of it was called Allon Bachuth.Then God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Padan Aram, and blessed him.And God said to him,“ Your name is Jacob; your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, but Israel shall be your name.” So He called his name Israel.Also God said to him:“ I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall proceed from you, and kings shall come from your body.The land which I gave Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants after you I give this land.”Then God went up from him in the place where He talked with him.

And Manoah said to his wife,“ We shall surely die, because we have seen God!”

so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me,“ Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.

Then they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

and having a High Priest over the house of God,

And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid.
