They answered,“ We saw clearly that the Lord was with you; so we said,‘ There ought to be a sworn agreement between us’— between us and you. Let us make a treaty with you

They said,“ We see plainly that the Lord has been with you. So we said, let there be a sworn pact between us, between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you,

They replied,“ We can plainly see that the Lord is with you. So we want to enter into a sworn treaty with you. Let’s make a covenant.

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the LORD has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

They said,“ We have seen plainly that the Lord has been with you; so we said,‘ An oath must now be taken by us,’ that is, by you and us. So let us make a covenant with you,

But they said,“ We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you. So we said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you,

And they said, We saw plainly that Jehovah was with thee: and we said, Let there now be an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee,

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the Lord has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us,[ even] betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

They replied,“ We could plainly see that the LORD is with you. So we decided there should be a pact between us– between us and you. Allow us to make a treaty with you

They said,“ We saw plainly that Yahweh was with you. We said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let’s make a covenant with you,

那時，亞比米勒和他的軍長非各對亞伯拉罕說：“在你所作的一切事上，神都與你同在。現在你要在這裡指著神對我起誓，你不會以詭詐待我和我的子子孫孫。我怎樣恩待了你，你也要怎樣恩待我和你寄居的地方。”

耶和華這樣說：“埃及勞碌得來的和古實所得之利，以及身量高大的西巴人，都必過來歸你，也要屬你；他們必帶著鎖鍊過來隨從你，向你俯伏，向你懇求，說：‘神真的在你們中間，此外，再沒有別的神，沒有別的真神。’”

又名叫米斯巴，因為拉班說：“我們彼此分離以後，願耶和華在你我中間鑒察。你若苦待我的女兒，或在我的女兒以外，另娶妻子，雖然沒有人在我們中間作證，但你要注意，神就是你我之間的見證人。”拉班又對雅各說：“你看這堆石頭，看我在你我之間所豎立的石柱。這堆石頭就是證據，這石柱也是證據：我決不越過這石堆到你那裡去，你也決不可越過這石堆和石柱，到我這裡來害我。但願亞伯拉罕的神、拿鶴的神，就是他們父親的神，在我們中間判斷。”雅各就指著他父親以撒所敬畏的神起誓。

我要你指著耶和華天地的神起誓，不可從我現在居住的迦南人中，為我的兒子娶他們的女子為妻。

既是這樣，我們對這一切還有甚麼話說呢？神若這樣為我們，誰能敵對我們呢？

因為人起誓都是指著比自己大的起誓。這誓言就了結了他們中間的一切糾紛，作為保證。

大衛的兒子所羅門鞏固了他對以色列的統治，耶和華他的神也和他同在，使他十分尊大。

至於你們，卻要稱為耶和華的祭司，人必稱你們為我們神的僕人；你們要享用列國的財富，因得著他們的榮耀而誇耀。

只要你到了我的族人那裡去，我叫你起的誓就與你無關；他們若不把女子交給你，我叫你起的誓也與你無關。’

他們的後裔必在列國中被人認識，他們的子孫在萬民中也必這樣；看見他們的，都必承認他們是耶和華賜福的後裔。

那些素來苦待你的人，他們的子孫都必屈身來到你那裡；所有藐視你的，都要在你的腳下跪拜；他們要稱你為耶和華的城、以色列聖者的錫安。

耶和華對約書亞說：“今天起，我要使你在以色列眾人眼中成為尊大，這樣他們就知道我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在。

自從主人指派約瑟管理他的家，和他所有的一切，耶和華就因約瑟的緣故，賜福給那埃及人的家。他家裡和田間所有的一切，都蒙耶和華賜福。

你們為人不要貪愛錢財，要以現在所有的為滿足；因為神親自說過：“我決不撇下你，也不離棄你。”

他心裡隱祕的事被顯露出來，他就必俯伏敬拜神，宣告說：“神真的是在你們中間了。”

因此那地方名叫別是巴，因為他們二人在那裡起了誓。他們在別是巴立約以後，亞比米勒和他的軍長非各，就起程回非利士地去了。
