And they said, We saw plainly that Jehovah was with thee: and we said, Let there now be an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee,

他們說：「我們確實看見耶和華與你同在，就想我們之間應該有一個誓約，就在你和我們之間。讓我們與你立約：

曰、我儕知耶和華偕汝、竊謂爾我間當立誓、互相結盟、

曰我儕知耶和華祐爾、竊思爾我間當立誓、互相結盟。

曰、我儕見主祐爾、竊謂爾我間當立誓、互相結盟、

They answered,“ We saw clearly that the Lord was with you; so we said,‘ There ought to be a sworn agreement between us’— between us and you. Let us make a treaty with you

They answered,“ We saw clearly that the Lord was with you. So we said,‘ There should be an agreement between us and you.’ We want to make a peace treaty with you.

They said,“ We see plainly that the Lord has been with you. So we said, let there be a sworn pact between us, between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you,

They replied,“ We can plainly see that the Lord is with you. So we want to enter into a sworn treaty with you. Let’s make a covenant.

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the LORD has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

They said,“ We have seen plainly that the Lord has been with you; so we said,‘ An oath must now be taken by us,’ that is, by you and us. So let us make a covenant with you,

But they said,“ We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you. So we said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you,

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the Lord has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us,[ even] betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

They replied,“ We could plainly see that the LORD is with you. So we decided there should be a pact between us– between us and you. Allow us to make a treaty with you

They said,“ We saw plainly that Yahweh was with you. We said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let’s make a covenant with you,

And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son’s son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

Thus saith Jehovah, The labor of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall go after thee, in chains they shall come over; and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.

and Mizpah, for he said, Jehovah watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.If thou shalt afflict my daughters, and if thou shalt take wives besides my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness betwixt me and thee.And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold the pillar, which I have set betwixt me and thee.This heap be witness, and the pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the Fear of his father Isaac.

and I will make thee swear by Jehovah, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that thou wilt not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

For men swear by the greater: and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.

And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and Jehovah his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

But ye shall be named the priests of Jehovah; men shall call you the ministers of our God: ye shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

then shalt thou be clear from my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give her not to thee, thou shalt be clear from my oath.

And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which Jehovah hath blessed.

And the sons of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee The city of Jehovah, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

And Jehovah said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.

And it came to pass from the time that he made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that Jehovah blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of Jehovah was upon all that he had, in the house and in the field.

the secrets of his heart are made manifest; and so he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.

Wherefore he called that place Beer- sheba; because there they sware both of them.So they made a covenant at Beer- sheba: and Abimelech rose up, and Phicol the captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.
