以撒就领利百加进了母亲撒拉的帐棚，娶了她为妻，并且爱她。以撒自从母亲离世以后，这才得了安慰。

你要在耶和华—你上帝面前告白说：‘我的祖先原是一个流亡的亚兰人，带着稀少的人丁下到埃及寄居。在那里，他却成了又大又强、人数众多的国。

夜间，上帝来到亚兰人拉班那里，在梦中对他说：“你要小心，不可对雅各说好说歹。”

以撒送雅各走了，雅各就往巴旦‧亚兰去，到亚兰人彼土利的儿子拉班那里，拉班是利百加的哥哥，利百加是雅各和以扫的母亲。以扫见以撒已经为雅各祝福，而且送他往巴旦‧亚兰去，在那里娶妻，并且见以撒祝福雅各的时候吩咐他说：“不要娶迦南的女子为妻”，

雅各从巴旦‧亚兰回来，上帝又向他显现，赐福给他。

在以利沙先知的时候，以色列中有许多麻风病人，但除了叙利亚的乃缦，没有一个得洁净的。”
