天使豈非執事之神、奉遣事得救之人乎、

所見之地、我必賜爾、爰及苗裔、永世勿替、

敬虔之士、我將教爾、導爾於當由之途、我將顧爾、訓迪爾衷、

願爾以智慧之心、導予入榮光之域兮。

求爾憶念爾僕。亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列、昔爾指己而誓、必熾昌其後、如天星之眾多、錫以所言之地、俾為永業。

當彼列王之時、天上上帝、更使一國振興、永世靡暨、不為他國所取、蠶食列邦、恆存不廢、

是夜耶和華顯現、謂之曰、勿懼、我乃爾父亞伯拉罕之上帝、為我僕亞伯拉罕故、我必佑爾、錫嘏於爾、蕃衍爾苗裔。

出埃及之有眾、自二十歲以上者、既不竭忠從我、故所誓亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之地必不能得、

曰、耶和華指己而誓、曰、因爾行是、不惜嫡子一人、我必大賚爾福祉、昌熾爾子孫、如天星之眾多、如海沙之無量、爾子孫將勝諸敵、因爾遵我命、天下兆民將藉爾裔而受福祉。

耶和華之天使、具能力、遵其命、從其言、亦當頌美耶和華兮、

耶和華諭亞伯蘭云、爾可出故土、離戚族、遠父家、往我所示之地。我將使爾後成為大邦、錫嘏於爾、畀爾顯名、必蒙綏祉。祝爾者吾亦祝之、詛爾者吾亦詛之、天下兆民、將藉爾受福焉。亞伯蘭循耶和華命而往、羅得偕行、其離哈蘭也、年七十有五。挈妻撒勑、與姪羅得、暨在哈蘭所積之貨財、所得之婢僕、咸向迦南而遄征、既至迦南。○路由敘劍、至摩哩之橡樹、當時迦南族處其地。耶和華顯現與亞伯蘭曰、我將以斯土、賜爾苗裔、亞伯蘭乃於顯現之處、築壇以祭。

當時、地大震、城圮十分之一、死者七千人、餘盡驚駭、讚美天上上帝、

民遭患難、主懷憂戚、自天遣使、以拯其災、特加眷愛、以贖其身、自昔迄今、扶翼之者屢矣。

強乃志、壯乃心、昔我誓厥祖、欲以斯地賜斯民、汝必使民得之、

一心恃耶和華、毋恃己能。凡事崇主、則蒙啟導。

昔耶和華誓以斯土予以色列民、惟不能導之入彼、故滅之於野。

昔耶和華誓以產乳與蜜之地、賜爾祖、其地即迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、希未人、耶布士人所屬者、既導爾入斯土、當於是月守此禮。

耶和華之使、自吉甲至普金曰、我導爾出埃及、入所誓爾祖之地、我嘗言與爾立約、不失其信。

為旅於上帝許賜之地、猶在異邦、以撒雅各亦蒙上帝所許、與亞伯拉罕各居於幕、

耶和華諭之曰、昔我所誓亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各以地錫其後裔者即此、爾可目睹、惟不得濟。○

曰、我希百來人、素所敬畏者、天上之上帝耶和華、陸地滄海、皆其所造、

旅於斯土、我將佑爾、錫嘏於爾、以此列邦賜爾、爰及苗裔、昔與爾父亞伯拉罕誓、我踐其言、必繁衍爾苗裔、如天星之眾多、以此列邦錫之、天下兆民、將藉爾裔而受福。

當此之時、上帝未嘗以尺土賜之、然以此地許彼為業、爰及苗裔、時、亞伯拉罕尚未有子也、

我所許之地、爾不得入、惟耶孚尼子迦勒、及嫩之子約書亞、可得而入。

昔我誓以斯土與爾祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、爰及苗裔、今地俱在爾前、可入而得之、○

爾所旅者、即迦南一境、我將以之賜爾及爾苗裔、永為恆產、我亦為其上帝。○
