The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my birth, and who spoke to me and who swore to me, saying,‘ To your descendants I will give this land’— He will send His angel ahead of you, and you will take a wife for my son from there.

“ The Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying,‘ To your offspring I will give this land’— he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there.

“ The Lord, the God of heaven, took me away from my father’s family. He brought me out of my own land. He made me a promise. He said,‘ I will give this land to your family after you.’ The Lord will send his angel ahead of you. So you will be able to get a wife for my son from there.

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to provide service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

And I will send an angel before you and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

for all the land which you see I will give to you and to your descendants forever.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will advise you with My eye upon you.

On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying,“ To your descendants I have given this land, From the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates:

“ Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.Be attentive to him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your rebellion, since My name is in him.But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.For My angel will go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I will completely destroy them.

You will guide me with Your plan, And afterward receive me to glory.

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself, and said to them,‘ I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ”

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.

And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said,“ I am the God of your father Abraham; Do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants, For the sake of My servant Abraham.”

‘ None of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; for they did not follow Me fully,

and said,“ By Myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only son,indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand, which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies.And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Bless the Lord, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!

Now the Lord said to Abram,“ Go from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you;And I will make you into a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing;And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”So Abram went away as the Lord had spoken to him; and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy five years old when he departed from Haran.Abram took his wife Sarai and his nephew Lot, and all their possessions which they had accumulated, and the people which they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan; so they came to the land of Canaan.Abram passed through the land as far as the site of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. Now the Canaanites were in the land at that time.And the Lord appeared to Abram and said,“ To your descendants I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.

And at that time there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

In all their distress He was distressed, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.

Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

‘ Since the Lord could not bring this people into the land which He promised them by oath, He slaughtered them in the wilderness.’

And it shall be when the Lord brings you to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which He swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall perform this rite in this month.

Now the angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said,“ I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers; and I said,‘ I will never break My covenant with you,

By faith he lived as a stranger in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise;

Then the Lord said to him,“ This is the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying,‘ I will give it to your descendants’; I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not go over there.”

So he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land.”

Live for a time in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham.I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,

But He gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot of ground, and yet, He promised that He would give it to him as a possession, and to his descendants after him, even though he had no child.

By no means will you come into the land where I swore to settle you, except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

See, I have placed the land before you; go in and take possession of the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, and their descendants after them.’

And I will give to you and to your descendants after you the land where you live as a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

“ This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:‘ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has appointed me to rebuild for Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
