Then Abraham said to him,“ Beware that you do not take my son back there!

亞伯拉罕對他說：「你要謹慎，不要帶我的兒子回那裏去。

亞伯拉罕對他說：「你要謹慎，不可帶我兒子回那裏去。

亞伯拉罕對他說：「你要謹慎，不可帶我兒子回那裏去。

亞伯拉罕說：「你千萬不可帶我的兒子回那裡！

亞伯拉罕對他說：“你要謹慎，切不可帶我的兒子回到那裡去。

亞伯拉罕對他說：『你要小心、不可帶我兒子回那裏去。

亞伯拉罕對他說：「你要小心，不要把我的兒子帶回那裡。

亞伯拉罕曰、慎勿使我子歸故鄉、

亞伯拉罕曰、慎勿使我子返於故鄉。

亞伯拉罕曰、慎毋攜我子返故土、

“ Make sure that you do not take my son back there,” Abraham said.

“ Make sure you don’t take my son back there,” Abraham said.

Abraham said to him,“ See to it that you do not take my son back there.

“ No!” Abraham responded.“ Be careful never to take my son there.

Abraham answered him,“ Make sure that you don’t take my son back there.

But Abraham said to him,“ Beware that you do not take my son back there.

And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

Abraham answered him,“ Make sure that you don’t take my son back there.

And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

“ Be careful never to take my son back there!” Abraham told him.

Abraham said to him,“ Beware that you don’t bring my son there again.

By faith he lived as a stranger in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise;

But we are not among those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith for the safekeeping of the soul.

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them.It has happened to them according to the true proverb,“ A dog returns to its own vomit,” and,“ A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.”

All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen and welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.And indeed if they had been thinking of that country which they left, they would have had opportunity to return.But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
