Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?

I will send an angel ahead of you and will drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hethites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

for I will give you and your offspring forever all the land that you see.

I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with my eye on you, I will give counsel.

On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying,“ I give this land to your offspring, from the Brook of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates River:

“ I am going to send an angel before you to protect you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared.Be attentive to him and listen to him. Do not defy him, because he will not forgive your acts of rebellion, for my name is in him.But if you will carefully obey him and do everything I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and a foe to your foes.For my angel will go before you and bring you to the land of the Amorites, Hethites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out.

You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me up in glory.

Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel— you swore to them by yourself and declared,‘ I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and will give your offspring all this land that I have promised, and they will inherit it forever.’”

“ In the days of those kings, the God of the heavens will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, and this kingdom will not be left to another people. It will crush all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, but will itself endure forever.

and the LORD appeared to him that night and said,“ I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your offspring because of my servant Abraham.”

‘ Because they did not remain loyal to me, none of the men twenty years old or more who came up from Egypt will see the land I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—

and said,“ By myself I have sworn,” this is the LORD’s declaration:“ Because you have done this thing and have not withheld your only son,I will indeed bless you and make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the city gates of their enemies.And all the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring because you have obeyed my command.”

Bless the LORD, all his angels of great strength, who do his word, obedient to his command.

The LORD said to Abram: Go from your land, your relatives, and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, I will curse anyone who treats you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.So Abram went, as the LORD had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.He took his wife, Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated, and the people they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan. When they came to the land of Canaan,Abram passed through the land to the site of Shechem, at the oak of Moreh.( At that time the Canaanites were in the land.)The LORD appeared to Abram and said,“ To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the LORD who had appeared to him.

At that moment a violent earthquake took place, a tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake. The survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

In all their suffering, he suffered, and the angel of his presence saved them. He redeemed them because of his love and compassion; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of the past.

“ Be strong and courageous, for you will distribute the land I swore to their ancestors to give them as an inheritance.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.

‘ Since the LORD wasn’t able to bring this people into the land he swore to give them, he has slaughtered them in the wilderness.’

When the LORD brings you into the land of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which he swore to your ancestors that he would give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, you must carry out this ceremony in this month.

The angel of the LORD went up from Gilgal to Bochim and said,“ I brought you out of Egypt and led you into the land I had promised to your ancestors. I also said: I will never break my covenant with you.

By faith he stayed as a foreigner in the land of promise, living in tents as did Isaac and Jacob, coheirs of the same promise.

The LORD then said to him,“ This is the land I promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,‘ I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you will not cross into it.”

He answered them,“ I’m a Hebrew. I worship the LORD, the God of the heavens, who made the sea and the dry land.”

stay in this land as an alien, and I will be with you and bless you. For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring, and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky, I will give your offspring all these lands, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring,

He didn’t give him an inheritance in it— not even a foot of ground— but he promised to give it to him as a possession, and to his descendants after him, even though he was childless.

I swear that none of you will enter the land I promised to settle you in, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

See, I have set the land before you. Enter and take possession of the land the LORD swore to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their future descendants.’

And to you and your future offspring I will give the land where you are residing— all the land of Canaan— as a permanent possession, and I will be their God.”

This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:“ The LORD, the God of the heavens, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and has appointed me to build him a house at Jerusalem in Judah.
