他心裏禱告說：『永恆主我主人亞伯拉罕的上帝啊，叫我今天遇見好機會吧；求你施慈愛給我主人亞伯拉罕。

誰有智慧，願他在這些事上留心；願他思念着永恆主的堅愛。

於是大衛王進去，恭坐在永恆主面前，說：『我主永恆主啊，我是誰，我的家算甚麼，你竟帶領了我到這地步？然而主永恆主啊、這在你雖還看為小事，你仍說到你僕人家的事至於久遠：我主永恆主啊，這是人所常遇的事麼？大衛還有甚麼話可對你說呢？我主永恆主啊，你是知道你僕人的。

馬利亞卻把這一切事存在心裏，反復思想。

他就同他們下去、到拿撒勒、去順服他們；他母親把這一切事都存在心裏。

我愛永恆主，因為他聽我懇求的聲音。他既傾耳聽我，我活着的日子總要呼求。死亡的繩索纏繞着我，陰間的困苦抓住了我；我被患難愁苦抓住時，我便呼求永恆主的名，說：『哦，永恆主啊，搭救我的性命哦！』永恆主有恩惠，有義氣；我們的上帝以憐憫為懷。永恆主保護愚直人；我落到卑微地步，他拯救了我。我的心哪，要回復你的寧靜，因為永恆主以厚恩待了你。

但願人因永恆主的堅愛而稱謝他；因他向人類所行的奇事而頌讚他。

僕人對他們說：『別躭延我啦；永恆主既使我的路順利，就請讓我走，我好回我主人那裏去。』

我要時時祝頌永恆主；頌讚他的話必不斷在我口中。我的心因永恆主而誇耀；困苦人聽見就歡喜。你們要跟我尊永恆主為大；我們要一同尊他的名為至高。我尋求了永恆主，他就應我，援救了我脫離我一切恐懼。人仰望他，便有光彩；他們的臉不至於蒙羞。這困苦人呼求，永恆主便垂聽，救他脫離一切的患難。

你們要稱謝永恆主，因為他至善；他堅固的愛永遠長存。

但願人因永恆主的堅愛而稱謝他；因他向人類所行的奇事而頌讚他。
