Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim and made his way to the town of Nahor.

我們帕提亞人、瑪代人、以攔人，和住在美索不達米亞、猶太、加帕多家、本都、亞細亞、

雅各起行，到了東方人之地。

所以耶和華的怒氣向以色列發作，把他們交給美索不達米亞王古珊‧利薩田的手中。以色列人服事古珊‧利薩田八年。以色列人呼求耶和華，耶和華就為以色列人興起一位拯救者來救他們，就是迦勒的弟弟基納斯的兒子俄陀聶。耶和華的靈降在他身上，他就作了以色列的士師。他出去爭戰，耶和華將亞蘭王古珊‧利薩田交在他手中，他的手戰勝了古珊‧利薩田。

監獄長就把監獄裏所有的囚犯都交在約瑟手下；在那裏的一切事都由他處理。任何交在約瑟手中的事，監獄長一概不察，因為耶和華與約瑟同在，耶和華使他所做的都順利。

約瑟拒絕，對他主人的妻子說：「看哪，一切家務我主人一概不知，他把所有的都交在我手裏。在這家裏沒有人比我更大，除你以外，他也沒有留下一樣不交給我，因為你是他的妻子。我怎能行這麼大的惡，得罪上帝呢？」

亞伯拉罕對他家中管理他一切產業最老的僕人說：「把你的手放在我大腿底下。

現在，我兒，聽我的話，起來，逃往哈蘭，到我哥哥拉班那裏去，
