Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim and made his way to the town of Nahor.

亞捫人見自己弄成了大衛所厭惡的，哈嫩和亞捫人就打發人拿一千擔銀子去從米所波大米、亞蘭瑪迦、瑣巴、雇了戰車和馬兵。

約瑟就在他主人面前蒙恩，伺候他主人；他主人並且派他管理他的家，把一切所有的都交在他手裏。自從主人派約瑟管理他的家和他一切所有的，永恆主就因約瑟的緣故賜福與那埃及人的家；凡他一切所有的，無論是在家裏的、是在田裏的、都蒙永恆主賜福。波提乏將一切所有的、都放交約瑟手中，除了自己喫的飯以外，別的事一概不知，不跟約瑟計較。約瑟生得丰姿俊秀、容貌美麗。

我們帕提亞人、瑪代人、以攔人和住米所波大米、猶太和加帕多加、本都和亞西亞、

雅各舉起腳來再走，到了東方人之地。

因此永恆主向以色列人發怒，就把他們交付於米所波大米王古珊利薩田手中；以色列人服事了古珊利薩田八年。以色列人向永恆主哀呼，永恆主就為以色列人興起了一位拯救者來拯救他們，就是迦勒的兄弟、那比他小的、基納斯的兒子俄陀聶。永恆主的靈感動他，他就作士師來拯救以色列；他出去爭戰，永恆主將亞蘭王古珊利薩田交在他手中，他的手就強過古珊利薩田。

看監的把監裏所有的囚犯都交在約瑟手裏；凡那裏所作的事、都是他作的。凡在約瑟手下的事，看監的都不察看，因為永恆主和約瑟同在；永恆主使他所作的盡都順利。

約瑟不肯；他對他主人的妻子說：『看哪，在家裏、我主人甚麼也不知道，不跟我計較；他把他一切所有的、都交在我手裏。在這家裏、他並不比我大；他並沒有留下一樣而不交給我；只有留下了你，因為你是他的妻子。我怎能行這個大壞事、來犯罪得罪上帝呢？』

亞伯拉罕對他的僕人、他家中的老者、那管理他所有的一切的、說：『請把手放在我的大腿下。

現在我兒，你要聽我的話；起來，逃往喀蘭，我哥哥拉班那裏。
