Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master. He set out for Aram Naharaim and made his way to the town of Nahor.

亞捫人看見自己與大衛結了仇恨，哈嫩和亞捫人就派人用三萬公斤銀子，從米所波大米、亞蘭瑪迦和瑣巴去雇戰車和馬兵。

約瑟就得主人的歡心，服事他的主人。他主人指派他管理他的家，把自己所有的一切都交在他手裡。自從主人指派約瑟管理他的家，和他所有的一切，耶和華就因約瑟的緣故，賜福給那埃及人的家。他家裡和田間所有的一切，都蒙耶和華賜福。波提乏把自己所有的一切，都交在約瑟的手裡。除了自己所吃的飯以外，其他的事他一概不管。約瑟生來體格壯健，容貌俊美。

我們帕提亞人、瑪代人、以攔人和住在美索不達米亞、猶太、加帕多家、本都、亞西亞、

雅各繼續前行，到了東方人的地方。

因此，耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，把他們完全交在兩河之間的亞蘭王古珊．利薩田的手中；以色列人服事了古珊．利薩田八年。以色列人向耶和華哀求的時候，耶和華就為以色列人興起一位拯救者拯救他們，就是迦勒的弟弟基納斯的兒子俄陀聶。耶和華的靈臨到他身上，他就治理以色列人；他出去作戰，耶和華把亞蘭王古珊．利薩田交在他手中，他的能力就勝過了古珊．利薩田。

因此，監獄長把監裡所有的囚犯都交在約瑟手裡；他們在那裡所作的一切事務，都由約瑟負責處理。凡交在約瑟手裡的事務，監獄長一概不聞不問；因為耶和華與約瑟同在，使他所作的盡都順利。

約瑟不肯，對他主人的妻子說：“你看，家中的事我主人一概不管；他把他所有的一切，都交在我的手裡。在這家裡沒有比我大的。除你以外，我主人沒有留下一樣不交給我，因為你是他的妻子。我怎可以作這極惡的事，得罪神呢？”

亞伯拉罕對他家中最老的，管理他所有產業的那僕人說：“請把你的手放在我的大腿底下。

我兒啊，現在你要聽我的話；起來，逃到哈蘭我哥哥拉班那裡去吧。
