Abraham agreed to Ephron’s terms and weighed out for him the price he had named in the hearing of the Hittites: four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weight current among the merchants.

Abraham agreed to Ephron’s offer. He weighed out for Ephron the price he had named. The Hittites there had heard the amount. The price was ten pounds of silver. Abraham measured it by the weights that were used by merchants.

Abraham listened to Ephron, and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver that he had named in the hearing of the Hittites, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weights current among the merchants.

So Abraham agreed to Ephron’s price and paid the amount he had suggested— 400 pieces of silver, weighed according to the market standard. The Hittite elders witnessed the transaction.

Abraham agreed with Ephron, and Abraham weighed out to Ephron the silver that he had agreed to in the hearing of the Hethites: four hundred standard shekels of silver.

Abraham listened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver which he had named in the presence of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, currency acceptable to a merchant.

Abraham agreed with Ephron, and Abraham weighed out to Ephron the silver that he had agreed to in the presence of the Hittites: 400 shekels of silver at the current commercial rate.

And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current[ money] with the merchant.

So Abraham agreed to Ephron’s price and weighed out for him the price that Ephron had quoted in the hearing of the sons of Heth– 400 pieces of silver, according to the standard measurement at the time.

Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the current merchants’ standard.

於是我對他們說：『你們若以為好，就給我工價；不然，也就罷了。』他們就稱了三十錠銀子、作為我的工價。

『我便向我叔叔的兒子哈拿篾買了在亞拿突那田地，平了價銀，十七舍客勒銀子給他。

除了彼此相愛，對任何人都不可欠甚麼債；因為愛人、便是行盡了律法。

我將我們的上帝之殿所收的提獻物、就是王跟他的參謀和貴族以及在那裏的以色列眾人所提獻的金銀和器皿、都秤好了，交給他們。我秤了交在他們手中的有銀子六百五十擔、銀器值一百擔、金子一百擔，金碗二十個、重值一千達利克，上好而閃閃發紅的銅器兩個，寶貴如金。我對他們說：『你們歸永恆主為聖，器皿也要為聖；金銀是人自願獻的禮物、奉給永恆主你們列祖之上帝的。你們務要儆醒看守，直到你們在耶路撒冷、永恆主之殿的貯藏室裏、在祭司領袖和利未人首領、跟以色列人各父系族長面前過了秤。』於是祭司和利未人將秤好了的金銀和器皿接過去，要帶到耶路撒冷我們的上帝的殿裏。

所以無論如何，你們願意人怎樣待你們，你們也要怎樣待人：這就是律法和神言人道理的總綱。

一舍客勒是二十季拉；五舍客勒就是五舍客勒，十舍客勒就是十舍客勒；你們的彌那是五十舍客勒的。

末了，弟兄們，凡是真誠的、莊重的、凡是正義的、清潔的、凡是可愛的、有美名的：若有甚麼美德、甚麼可稱讚之事——你們都要思念。

智慧不是用精金可換得的，也不能平白銀去抵價值。

以下這一點錢是他們所要給的：凡按次序走過去而屬於那些有資格被點閱的人、每人要按聖所的平獻銀子半舍客勒；這半舍客勒是奉給永恆主的提獻物：一舍客勒是二十季拉。

到了住宿的地方，一打開我們的布袋，哎呀，各人的銀子，我們分量足數的銀子，都在各人的布袋口呢！現在我們手裏又帶回來了。

『我主請聽我；值四百舍客勒銀子的一塊田地，在你我之間、還算得了甚麼？你只管埋葬你死了的親人吧。』

他要你們各人在這事上不越分、而佔他弟兄的便宜；因為關於這一切事、主是處罰者；這也是我們先前對你說過、而鄭重證明的。
