經云、亞伯拉罕有二子、一婢出、一婦出、

撒拉有信、雖老、上帝賜之懷妊誕育、以為所許者言出惟行、

明年屆此期、撒拉必生子以撒、我將與之立約。

上帝曰、爾妻撒拉、果必生子、命名以撒、我將與以撒、及其後裔、立永約。

豈耶和華而有難行之事哉。明年屆期、我必復至、撒拉必生子。

乃予以割禮之約、於是亞伯拉罕生以撒、八日行割禮、以撒生雅各、雅各生我之十二祖、

其中一人曰、明年屆期、我必復至、爾妻撒拉將生子。撒拉在後、於幕門聞此。

其所許之言云、屆期吾至、撒拉氏必生子、

後其妻以利沙伯妊、靜處五月、云、主眷顧我、視我若此、俾得洒恥於人間、

且爾親戚以利沙伯、老而妊子、素稱不妊者、今已六月矣、

以利沙曰、明年屆期、爾必誕育。曰、我主、上帝之僕與、毋欺爾婢。厥後婦果懷妊、屆期生子、應以利沙之言。
