Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

晨興、不讚其友而過實、人以為誹之。

躑躅田間、或遇之、曰、爾何求耶。

當其存日、眾庶子各有所予、使往東方、以避以撒。

夙興相誓、以撒送之、安然而歸。

以掃率其妻與子女家人群畜牲牷、及在迦南所獲者、往詣他方、離弟雅各、蓋二人財貨充盈、牲畜成群、所旅之地褊小、不能同居。○

維彼曠野、人蹤罕至、於時迷途、四無城郭、可以棲息兮、

遂名之曰是巴、故邑名別是巴至於今日。○

婢出者、循人道、婦出者、因應許、斯可為二約譬、一則西乃山、使人為奴、夏甲是也、夏甲者亞喇伯之西乃山也、即今耶路撒冷與其人皆為奴、

亞伯拉罕夙興、備驢、攜二僕、及子以撒、劈柴為燔、將詣上帝所示之處。

希實本之田、實馬之葡萄園、俱變荒蕪、昔其嘉種、延及牙設、藤至曠野、蔓及鹽海、今為列國之牧伯所毀、

以二人相誓於彼、故名其地為別是巴、

亞伯拉罕植林木於別是巴禱告耶和華、永生之上帝。

亞伯拉罕夙興、至昔覲耶和華之處、

夫奴無常家、而子有常、

守爾誡命、弗遲弗緩兮、

耶和華之使者、遇之於野、其地近泉、去書耳之路無幾。

以利亞聞此、則遁逃以保命、至猶大之別是巴、而留其僕。

亞伯拉罕遂返至僕所、與之偕行、至別是巴而居焉。

僕與從者飲食而宿。夙興曰、願遣我歸。
