Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

凡你手所当做的事，要尽力去做；因为在你所必须去的阴间没有工作，没有谋算，没有知识，也没有智慧。

以色列带着一切所有的，起程到别是巴去，献祭给他父亲以撒的神。

清晨起来大声给朋友祝福的，就算是诅咒他。

有人遇见他，看哪，他在田野走迷了路。那人问他说：“你找什么？”

至于亚伯拉罕妾的儿子，亚伯拉罕趁着自己还活着的时候把财物分给他们，打发他们离开他的儿子以撒，往东方去，直到东方之地。

他们清早起来，彼此起誓。以撒送他们走，他们就平平安安地离开他去了。

以扫带着他的妻子、儿女和家中所有的人，以及他的牛羊、牲畜和一切财物，就是他在迦南地所得的，往别处去，离开了他的兄弟雅各。因为他们拥有的很多，不能住在一起。因为牲畜的缘故，寄居的地方容不下他们。

他们在旷野、在荒地飘流，找不到可居住的城，

他就给那井起名叫示巴，因此那城名叫别是巴，直到今日。

那使女所生的是按着肉体生的；那自由的妇人所生的是凭着应许生的。这是比方：那两个妇人就是两个约；一个妇人是出于西奈山，生子为奴，就是夏甲。这夏甲是指着阿拉伯的西奈山，与现在的耶路撒冷同类，因为耶路撒冷和她的儿女都是为奴的。

亚伯拉罕清早起来，预备了驴，带着跟他一起的两个仆人和他儿子以撒，劈好了燔祭的柴，就起身往神指示他的地方去了。

因为希实本的田地和西比玛的葡萄树都衰残了，列国的君主折断它的枝干，这枝子曾长到雅谢，延伸到旷野，嫩枝向外伸出，直伸过海；

所以他给那地方起名叫别是巴，因为他们二人在那里起了誓。

亚伯拉罕就在别是巴种了一棵柳树，在那里求告耶和华—永恒神的名。

亚伯拉罕清早起来，到了他先前站在耶和华面前的地方，

奴隶不能永远住在家里；儿子才永远住在家里。

我速速遵守你的命令，并不迟延。

耶和华的使者在旷野的水泉旁，在书珥路上的水泉旁遇见夏甲，

以利亚害怕，就起来逃命，到了犹大的别是巴，把仆人留在那里。

于是亚伯拉罕回到他仆人那里。他们一同起身，往别是巴去，亚伯拉罕就住在别是巴。

然后，仆人和随从的人才吃喝，并且住了一夜。早晨起来，仆人说：“请让我回我主人那里去吧。”
