Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

以色列和他一切所有的就起行，來到別是巴，便獻祭給他父親以撒的上帝。

清晨早起、大聲給朋友祝福請安的、這就算為他的咒詛。

有人遇見他，見他在田野間走迷了路，就問他說：『你找甚麼？』

亞伯拉罕把禮物給了他所有的妾的兒子們，趁着自己還活着的時候、打發他們離開他的兒子以撒、向東走、到東方之地去。

他們清早起來，彼此起誓；以撒打發他們走，他們就安安然然地離開他們去了。

以掃帶着他的妻子、兒女，和他家中一切的人口，以及他的牲畜、他一切的牲口、一切的財產，就是他在迦南地所積蓄的，往西珥地，離開他弟弟雅各。因為他們的財物很多，不能同住；因了他們牲畜的緣故，他們寄居的地方容不下他們。

有人漂流於曠野、於荒地，找不着路到可住的城；

他就給那井起名叫示巴；因此那城名叫別示巴、直到今日。

那出於使女的、是只按普通程序生的、而那出於自主婦人的、卻是憑着應許生的。這些都是有寓意的：那兩個婦人就是兩個約：一個屬於西乃山，生子在奴役中，就是夏甲。西乃是一座山、在亞拉伯，與今世的耶路撒冷地位相當；她同她兒女都做奴僕。

亞伯拉罕清早起來，備上了驢，帶着兩個僮僕和他的兒子以撒，也劈好了燔祭的柴，就起身往上帝所對他說明的地方去了。

因為希實本的田園疲弊，西比瑪的葡萄樹衰殘；其枝藤曾擊倒了列國的君主，達到雅謝，蔓延到曠野；它生出的枝條曾四散伸展，越過鹽海。

因此他給那地方起名叫別是巴，因為他們二人起了誓就在那裏。

亞伯拉罕在別是巴栽了一棵垂絲柳樹，在那裏呼求耶和華永恆上帝的名。

亞伯拉罕清早起來，在他前天站在永恆主面前的地方，

奴隸不永遠住在家裏；兒子永遠住着。

我迅速不躭延地遵守你的誡命。

永恆主的使者在曠野的水泉邊，在往書珥路上的泉旁遇見了她。

以利亞害怕，就起來逃命，到了猶大的別是巴，將僮僕留在那裏。

亞伯拉罕回到他僮僕那裏；他們便起身，一齊走到別是巴；亞伯拉罕就住在別是巴。

僕人和跟從他的人這才喫喝，他們住了一夜，早晨起來；僕人就說：『請讓我回我主人那裏去吧。』
