Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

凡是你手可作的，都当尽力去作；因为在你所要去的阴间里，既没有工作，又没有筹谋；没有知识，也没有智慧。

以色列带着他所有的一切起程，到了别是巴，就向他父亲以撒的神献祭。

清晨起来大声为邻舍祝福的，就等于是咒诅他。

有人遇见约瑟在田间迷了路，就问他说：“你找什么？”

亚伯拉罕把礼物分给他庶出的众子，在自己还活着的时候，就打发他们离开他的儿子以撒，向东面行，往东方的地去。

第二天，他们清早起来，彼此起誓；以撒就送他们走，他们平平安安地离开他走了。

以扫带着他的众妻子、儿女和家中所有的人，以及他的牲畜、所有的牲口和他在迦南地所得的一切财产，离开他的弟弟雅各到别的地方去了。因为他们都有很多财物，所以不能住在一起；又因他们牲畜很多的缘故，他们寄居的地方也容不下他们。

他们有些人在旷野、在荒漠飘流，寻不见路往可居住的城巿。

以撒就给那井起名叫示巴，因此那城名叫别是巴，直到今日。

但那出于婢女的，是按着肉体生的；那出于自由的妇人的，是凭着应许生的。这都是寓意的说法：那两个妇人就是两个约，一个是出于西奈山，生子作奴仆，这是夏甲。这夏甲是指着阿拉伯的西奈山，相当于现在的耶路撒冷，她和她的儿女都是作奴仆的。

亚伯拉罕清早起来，预备好了驴，带着两个童仆和自己的儿子以撒，也劈好了献燔祭用的柴，就起程到神指示他的地方去。

因为希实本的田地和西比玛的葡萄树都衰残了，它们美好的枝子曾醉倒了列国的君主。它的嫩枝直达雅谢，蔓延到旷野，又向外伸展，越过盐海。

因此那地方名叫别是巴，因为他们二人在那里起了誓。

亚伯拉罕在别是巴栽了一棵垂丝柳树，就在那里求告耶和华永活的神的名。

亚伯拉罕清早起来，到他从前站在耶和华面前的地方，

奴隶不能永远住在家里，唯有儿子才可以永远住在家里。

我赶快谨守你的命令，不敢耽延。

耶和华的使者在旷野的水泉旁边，就是在到书珥路上的水旁边，遇到了她，

以利亚害怕，就起来，逃命去了。他到了犹大的别是巴，就把自己的仆人留在那里。

亚伯拉罕回到他的童仆那里；他们就起程，一起到别是巴去了；亚伯拉罕就住在别是巴。

然后，仆人和与他同来的人才吃喝，并且住了一夜。他们早晨起来，仆人就说：“请打发我回到我主人那里去吧！”
