Now return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not return her, you may be sure that you and all who belong to you will die.”

撒母耳說：「你們招聚全體以色列人到米斯巴，我要為你們向耶和華禱告。」

大衛看見那擊殺百姓的天使，就對耶和華說：「看哪，是我犯了罪，是我行事扭曲！這群羊，他們做了什麼呢？願你的手對付我和我的父家！」

如果有人想要傷害他們，火就從他們的口中出來，吞滅他們的敵人；如果有人想要傷害他們，就必定這樣被殺。這兩個人有權柄閉塞天空，使雨水在他們做先知傳道的日子不降下來；又有權柄統管眾水，使水變成血，並且能隨時隨意用各樣災害擊打大地。

婚姻當受所有人尊重，床也不可玷汙，因為神將要審判淫亂和通姦的人。

耶和華因亞伯蘭妻子撒萊的緣故，用嚴重的疾患擊打法老和他的家。

你們中間誰患病，就應該請教會的長老們來，讓他們奉主的名用油來膏抹他、為他禱告。出於信的祈求，將會救那病人；主將使他起來；即使他犯了罪，也將被赦免。所以你們當彼此認罪，彼此代求，好使你們得痊癒。義人所做的祈禱是大有力量的。

過去，神在不同的時代，用不同的方式，藉著先知們對祖先說話，

那說殊言的是造就自己，但那做先知傳道的是造就教會。

全體民眾對撒母耳說：「求你為僕人們向耶和華你的神禱告，免得我們死亡。因為在我們的一切罪惡上，我們又增添了一件惡事，為自己要求一個王。」

耶和華與敬畏他的人親密，使他們明白他的約。

原來耶和華因亞伯拉罕妻子撒拉的緣故，使亞比米勒家中所有的婦女都不能生育。

如果有人看見自己的弟兄在犯不至於死的罪，就應該為他祈求；這樣，神將把生命賜給他，就是給那些犯不至於死的罪的人。有一種罪是至於死的；關於那種罪我不說要祈求。

就是他與亞伯拉罕所立的約，向以撒所起的誓；又把這約給雅各立為律例，給以色列立為永遠的約；他說：「我要把迦南地賜給你，作為你們繼業的份。」那時他們人數稀少，實在很少，在那地是寄居的；他們從一個國家流浪到另一個國家，從一個邦族流浪到另一個邦族。他不容任何人欺壓他們，還為他們的緣故責備君王：「你們不可碰我的受膏者，不可惡待我的先知。」

只是分辨善惡樹上的果實，你不可吃，因為在吃的日子，你必定死。」

法老的群臣看見了，就在法老面前稱讚她；那女人就被帶進法老的宮殿。

「至於我，我絕不會停止為你們禱告而得罪耶和華，我必指教你們那美善、正直的道路。

以色列子民對撒母耳說：「請不要停止為我們向耶和華我們的神呼求，好使他拯救我們脫離非利士人的手。」
