當彼此認過、互為祈禱、則可得愈、蓋義人切切祈禱、甚為有力、

勿憂慮、凡事祈禱、籲懇、感謝、以爾之所求者告天主、

主遠離惡人、俯聽善人之祈禱、

且爾祈禱時有信、無論何求、必得之、○

俾得獻馨香之祭於天上天主、為王及王子之壽命祈禱、

主知利亞不見寵、故使之生育、惟拉結不孕、

今以婦歸其夫、彼乃先知、可為爾祈禱、全爾生命、倘不歸之、當知凡屬爾者皆必死、

兄弟乎、當為我儕祈禱、

遂遣人集非利士人諸伯至、曰、當遣以色列天主之匱、以歸故土、免殺我與我眾民、其時、天主降重災於其邑、舉邑之人大恐惶、或作舉邑之人恐惶多有死亡者未死之人俱生痔、邑民呼號、聲戾於天、

於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法、俱往、遵主所命而行、主果悅納約百、約百為其友祈禱、主遂使其境遇復初、凡其昔時所有者、賜之維倍、

甄陶以色列之主、即以色列之聖主如是云、爾曹可問我未來之事、至於我諸子、我手所造者、可聽我定命、或作論及未來之事爾可詰我乎至於我諸子我手所造者爾可命我乎

求則予爾、尋則遇之、叩門則為爾啟之、

惡人之祭祀、為主所惡、正直人之祈禱、為主所悅、

自撒母耳以來、諸先知預言、亦預言此日、
