六日之内，你要作你的工；但第七日你要安息，好使你的牛和驴可以歇息，并且使你婢女的儿子和寄居的也可以有时间喘息一下。

耶稣却对他们说：“我父作工直到现在，我也作工。”

“因安息日的缘故，你若转离你的脚步；在我的圣日不作你喜欢作的；你若称安息日为可喜乐的，称耶和华的圣日为可尊重的；你若尊重这日，不作自己的事，不寻求自己所喜悦的，或不说无谓的话，

神看他所造的一切都很好。有晚上，有早晨；这是第六日。
