And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.

耶和华神说：“那人独居不好，我要为他造一个配偶帮助他。”

耶和华上帝说：“那人单独一个不好，我要为他造一个配偶帮助他。”

耶和华上帝说：“那人独自一人不好，我要为他造一个相配的帮手。”

耶和华神说：“那人独居不好，我要为他造个和他相配的帮手。”

耶和华神又说：“那人孤身不好，我要为他造一个合适的帮助者。”

耶和華神說：「那人獨居不好，我要為他造一個配偶幫助他。」

耶和華上帝曰、人獨處非善、我將作一相助者以配之、

耶和華上帝曰、不可使夫人獨處、必造一相助為理者。

耶和華天主曰、人獨處未善、我將為之作偶以助之、

The Lord God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

The Lord God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”

Then the Lord God said,“ It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

Then the Lord God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”

Then the LORD God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper corresponding to him.”

Then the Lord God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”

And the Lord God said,“ It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

Then the Lord God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper as his complement.”

And the LORD God said,[ It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

The LORD God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion for him who corresponds to him.”

Yahweh God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, and hath not another to lift him up.Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm alone?And if a man prevail against him that is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

For a man indeed ought not to have his head veiled, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man:for neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man:for this cause ought the woman to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels.Nevertheless, neither is the woman without the man, nor the man without the woman, in the Lord.For as the woman is of the man, so is the man also by the woman; but all things are of God.

Ye husbands, in like manner, dwell with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor unto the woman, as unto the weaker vessel, as being also joint- heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your prayers be not hindered.

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favor of Jehovah.

Let a woman learn in quietness with all subjection.But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have dominion over a man, but to be in quietness.For Adam was first formed, then Eve;

And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

But if any man thinketh that he behaveth himself unseemly toward his virgin daughter, if she be past the flower of her age, and if need so requireth, let him do what he will; he sinneth not; let them marry.

And Naomi her mother- in- law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?
