一片平原、就是棕樹城耶利哥的峽谷、直到瑣珥、都指給他看。

即領了他們出來，一位就說：『逃命吧！不可回頭看望，在這一片平原上、哪裏都不可站住！只要往山上逃跑！免得你被掃滅。』

心懷二意的人在他所行的一切路上都搖蕩不定。

你為甚麼這樣東奔西跑，要改變你的路呢？你必因埃及而蒙羞，像你因亞述而蒙羞一樣。你也必從埃及出來，兩手抱頭；因為永恆主已棄絕了你所倚靠的；你必不因他們而得順利。』

羅得舉目，看見約但河那一片平原，沿到瑣珥的路向，各處水源充足，在永恆主還沒有毁滅所多瑪、蛾摩拉以前，就像永恆主的園子，就像埃及地一樣。
