你们能占领他们的土地并非因为你们公义、行为正直。你们的上帝耶和华从你们面前赶走那些民族，是因为他们邪恶，也是为了实现祂给你们祖先亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的誓言。

上帝眷顾挪亚及方舟里的野兽和牲畜，使风吹在大地上，水便开始消退。

亚伯拉罕上前说：“你要把义人和恶人一同毁灭吗？倘若城中有五十个义人，你还要毁灭那城吗？你会不会为了五十个义人而饶恕那座城呢？你绝不会黑白不分，把义人和恶人一同毁灭。你是普天下的审判者，难道不秉公行事吗？”耶和华回答说：“倘若我在所多玛城中找到五十个义人，我就要因他们的缘故饶恕全城。”亚伯拉罕说：“主啊，虽然我渺小如灰尘，但我还要大胆地求问你，倘若只有四十五个义人，你会因为少了五个义人而毁灭全城吗？”耶和华说：“倘若我在城里找到四十五个义人，我也不会毁灭那城。”亚伯拉罕又说：“倘若在那里找到四十个义人呢？”耶和华说：“为了那四十个人的缘故，我不会毁灭那城。”亚伯拉罕说：“求主不要发怒，容许我再问一次，倘若在那里只找到三十个义人呢？”耶和华说：“倘若在那里只找到三十个，我也不会毁灭那城。”亚伯拉罕说：“我大胆再问一次，倘若在那里只找到二十个义人呢？”耶和华说：“为了那二十个人的缘故，我也不会毁灭那城。”亚伯拉罕又说：“求主不要发怒，让我问最后一次，倘若在那里只找到十个义人呢？”耶和华说：“为了那十个人的缘故，我也不会毁灭那城。”耶和华跟亚伯拉罕说完话便离开了，亚伯拉罕也回家去了。

求你饶恕我年轻时的罪恶和过犯，以你的恩惠和慈爱待我。

祂眷顾处于卑贱境地的我们，因为祂的慈爱永远长存。

我吩咐利未人洁净自己，然后来看守城门，尊安息日为圣日。我的上帝啊，求你因此而记念我，按你丰盛的慈爱怜悯我。

因为祂没有忘记祂赐给仆人亚伯拉罕的神圣应许。

那时，你们便会想起自己邪恶的行径，并因自己的罪恶和可憎行为而厌恶自己。主耶和华说，你们应当知道，我这样做并不是为了你们。以色列人啊，你们应当为自己的行为抱愧蒙羞。’

祂只拯救了因恶人的淫乱放荡而忧伤的义人罗得，

耶和华保护所有爱祂的人，毁灭一切恶人。

以法莲啊，我怎能舍弃你？以色列啊，我怎能弃绝你？我怎能使你的下场如押玛？我怎能对待你如对待洗扁？我的心意改变，我满怀怜爱。

我的上帝啊，求你因这事而记念我，不要涂抹我为上帝的殿和其中的敬拜礼仪所做的善事。

我必使你成为大国，我必赐福给你，使你声名远播。你必成为别人的祝福。

上帝眷顾拉结，听了她的祷告，使她可以生育。

耶和华啊！你恩待你子民的时候，求你别忘了我；你拯救他们的时候，求你帮助我，

祂永远记得祂的约，历经千代也不忘祂的应许，
