約翰看見許多法利賽人和撒都該人來到他施洗的地方，就對他們說：“毒蛇所生的啊，誰指示你們逃避那將要來的忿怒呢？

羅得舉目，看見約旦河整個平原，直到瑣珥，都有水灌溉；在耶和華毀滅所多瑪和蛾摩拉之前，這地好像耶和華的園子，也像埃及地一樣。

你們要逃跑，趕快逃命吧！你們好像曠野的灌木。

以利亞害怕，就起來，逃命去了。他到了猶大的別是巴，就把自己的僕人留在那裡。

於是羅得出去，告訴娶了他女兒的女婿說：“你們起來離開這地方；因為耶和華就要毀滅這城。”但是他的女婿以為他在開玩笑。天快亮的時候，兩位天使催促羅得說：“起來，帶你的妻子，和你這裡的兩個女兒出去，免得你因這城的罪孽被除滅。”

掃羅派人到大衛家裡去監視他，要在第二天早晨殺死他。大衛的妻子米甲告訴他說：“今天晚上你若不逃命，明天就會被殺死。”

其中二人從那裡動身，向所多瑪走去，亞伯拉罕卻仍然站在耶和華面前。

如果我們忽略了這麼大的救恩，怎麼能逃罪呢？這救恩起初是由主親自宣講的，後來聽見的人給我們證實了。
