When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.

Lot didn’t move right away. So the men grabbed him by the hand. They also took hold of the hands of his wife and two daughters. They led all of them safely out of the city. The Lord had mercy on them.

But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.

因為他對摩西說：“我要憐憫誰，就憐憫誰；我要恩待誰，就恩待誰。”這樣看來，既不是出於人意，也不是由於人為（“人為”原文作“奔走”或“奔跑”），只在於那憐憫人的神。

主知道怎樣搭救敬虔的人脫離試探，又把不義的人留下來，等候在審判的日子受刑罰，

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本是良善的，他的慈愛永遠長存。

因為耶和華你的神原是滿有憐憫的神，他必不丟棄你，不毀滅你，也不忘記他起誓與你的列祖所立的約。

誰喜愛生命，愛慕長壽，享受美福，

但他因自己的名的緣故拯救他們，為要彰顯他的大能。

他就救了我們，並不是由於我們所行的義，而是照著他的憐憫，藉著重生的洗和聖靈的更新。

他使人記念他所行的奇事；耶和華有恩典，有憐憫。

耶和華在摩西面前經過，並且宣告說：“耶和華，耶和華，是有憐憫有恩典的神，不輕易發怒，並且有豐盛的慈愛和誠實，

我們主耶穌基督的父神是應當稱頌的。他是滿有憐憫的父，賜各樣安慰的神。

稅吏卻遠遠站著，連舉目望天也不敢，只捶著胸說：‘神啊，可憐我這個罪人！’

但是，主啊！你是有憐憫有恩典的神，你不輕易發怒，並且有極大的慈愛和信實。

他不再是敵對者，並且他面前的使者拯救了他們。他以自己的愛和憐憫救贖了他們；在古時的一切日子，他背負他們，懷抱他們。

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本是良善的；他的慈愛永遠長存。

我趕快謹守你的命令，不敢耽延。

‘耶和華不輕易發怒，且有豐盛的慈愛；他赦免罪孽和過犯；絕不以有罪的為無罪，必追討罪孽，自父到子，直到三四代。’

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他是良善的，他的慈愛永遠常存。

主啊！你是良善，又樂意饒恕人的，向你呼求的，你都以豐盛的慈愛待他們。

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本是良善的；他的慈愛永遠長存。

耶和華有憐憫，有恩典，不輕易發怒，並且有豐盛的慈愛。他不長久責備，也不永遠懷怒。他沒有按著我們的罪過待我們，也沒有照著我們的罪孽報應我們。

你們要讚美耶和華。你們要稱謝耶和華，因為他是美善的；他的慈愛永遠長存。

耶和華的慈愛永不斷絕，他的憐憫永不止息。

如果不是差我來的父吸引人，就沒有人能到我這裡來；到我這裡來的，在末日我要使他復活。

然而神滿有憐憫，因著他愛我們的大愛，就在我們因過犯死了的時候，使我們與基督一同活過來，（你們得救是靠著恩典，）

父親怎樣憐恤兒子，耶和華也照樣憐恤敬畏他的人；

有何神像你，赦免罪孽，不追究產業之餘民的過犯呢？他不永遠懷怒，因為他喜愛憐憫。他必再憐愛我們，把我們的罪孽都踐踏在腳下，又把我們（按照《馬索拉文本》，“我們”作“他們”；現參照其他抄本、《七十士譯本》和其他古譯本翻譯）的一切罪惡都投在深海裡。

你們要愛仇敵，善待他們；借出去，不要指望償還；這樣你們的賞賜就大了，你們也必作至高者的兒子，因為神自己也寬待忘恩的和惡人。你們要仁慈像你們的父仁慈一樣。

約書亞對窺探那地的兩個人說：“你們進那妓女的家裡去，照著你們向她所起的誓，把那女人和她所有的一切，都從家裡帶出來。”

這樣看來，他願意憐憫誰就憐憫誰，願意誰剛硬就使誰剛硬。
