When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.

Lot didn’t move right away. So the men grabbed him by the hand. They also took hold of the hands of his wife and two daughters. They led all of them safely out of the city. The Lord had mercy on them.

But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.

But he hesitated. Because of the LORD’s compassion for him, the men grabbed his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters. They brought him out and left him outside the city.

因他對摩西說：「我要憐憫誰就憐憫誰，要恩待誰就恩待誰。」由此看來，這不靠人的意願，也不靠人的努力，只靠上帝的憐憫。

那麼，主知道搭救敬虔的人脫離試煉，把不義的人留在懲罰之下等候審判的日子，

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善；他的慈愛永遠長存。

耶和華－你的上帝是有憐憫的上帝，他不撇下你，不滅絕你，也不忘記他起誓與你列祖所立的約。

有誰喜愛生命，愛慕長壽，得享美福？

然而，他因自己的名拯救他們，為要彰顯他的大能。

他救了我們，並不是因我們自己所行的義，而是照他的憐憫，藉着重生的洗和聖靈的更新。

他行了奇事，使人記念；耶和華有恩惠，有憐憫。

耶和華在他面前經過，宣告：「耶和華，耶和華，有憐憫，有恩惠的上帝，不輕易發怒，且有豐盛的慈愛和信實，

願頌讚歸於上帝－我們主耶穌基督的父；他是發慈悲的父，賜各樣安慰的上帝。

那稅吏遠遠地站着，連舉目望天也不敢，只捶着胸，說：『上帝啊，開恩可憐我這個罪人！』

主啊，你是有憐憫，有恩惠的上帝，不輕易發怒，並有豐盛的慈愛和信實。

他們在一切苦難當中，他也同受苦難，並且他面前的使者拯救他們。他以慈愛和憐憫救贖他們，在古時的日子時常抱他們，背他們。

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！

我速速遵守你的命令，並不遲延。

『耶和華不輕易發怒，且有豐盛的慈愛。他赦免罪孽和過犯，萬不以有罪的為無罪，必懲罰人的罪，從父到子，直到三、四代。』

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！

主啊，你本為良善，樂於饒恕人，以豐盛的慈愛對待凡求告你的人。

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善；他的慈愛永遠長存！

耶和華有憐憫，有恩惠，不輕易發怒，且有豐盛的慈愛。他不長久責備，也不永遠懷怒。他沒有按我們的罪待我們，也沒有照我們的罪孽報應我們。

哈利路亞！你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！

因耶和華的慈愛，我們不致滅絕，因他的憐憫永不斷絕，

若不是差我來的父吸引人，就沒有人能到我這裏來；到我這裏來的，在末日我要使他復活。

然而，上帝有豐富的憐憫，因着他愛我們的大愛，竟在我們因過犯而死了的時候，使我們與基督一同活過來－可見你們得救是本乎恩－

父親怎樣憐憫他的兒女，耶和華也怎樣憐憫敬畏他的人！

有哪一個神明像你，赦免罪孽，饒恕他產業中餘民的罪過？他不永遠懷怒，喜愛施恩。他必轉回憐憫我們，把我們的罪孽踏在腳下。你必將他們一切的罪投於深海。

你們倒要愛仇敵，要善待他們，並要借給人不指望償還，你們的賞賜就很多了，你們必作至高者的兒子，因為他恩待那忘恩的和作惡的。你們要仁慈，像你們的父是仁慈的。」

約書亞對窺探這地的兩個人說：「你們進那妓女的家，照你們向她所起的誓，將那女人和她所有的都從那裏帶出來。」

由此看來，上帝要憐憫誰就憐憫誰，要使誰剛硬就使誰剛硬。
