When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.

Lot didn’t move right away. So the men grabbed him by the hand. They also took hold of the hands of his wife and two daughters. They led all of them safely out of the city. The Lord had mercy on them.

But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.

But he hesitated. Because of the LORD’s compassion for him, the men grabbed his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters. They brought him out and left him outside the city.

那么，主知道搭救敬虔的人脱离试炼，把不义的人留在惩罚之下等候审判的日子，

你们要称谢耶和华，因他本为善；他的慈爱永远长存。

耶和华—你的上帝是有怜悯的上帝，他不撇下你，不灭绝你，也不忘记他起誓与你列祖所立的约。

有谁喜爱生命，爱慕长寿，得享美福？

然而，他因自己的名拯救他们，为要彰显他的大能。

他救了我们，并不是因我们自己所行的义，而是照他的怜悯，藉着重生的洗和圣灵的更新。

他行了奇事，使人记念；耶和华有恩惠，有怜悯。

耶和华在他面前经过，宣告：“耶和华，耶和华，有怜悯，有恩惠的上帝，不轻易发怒，且有丰盛的慈爱和信实，

愿颂赞归于上帝—我们主耶稣基督的父；他是发慈悲的父，赐各样安慰的上帝。

那税吏远远地站着，连举目望天也不敢，只捶着胸，说：‘上帝啊，开恩可怜我这个罪人！’

主啊，你是有怜悯，有恩惠的上帝，不轻易发怒，并有丰盛的慈爱和信实。

他们在一切苦难当中，他也同受苦难，并且他面前的使者拯救他们。他以慈爱和怜悯救赎他们，在古时的日子时常抱他们，背他们。

你们要称谢耶和华，因他本为善，他的慈爱永远长存！

我速速遵守你的命令，并不迟延。

‘耶和华不轻易发怒，且有丰盛的慈爱。他赦免罪孽和过犯，万不以有罪的为无罪，必惩罚人的罪，从父到子，直到三、四代。’

你们要称谢耶和华，因他本为善，他的慈爱永远长存！

主啊，你本为良善，乐于饶恕人，以丰盛的慈爱对待凡求告你的人。

你们要称谢耶和华，因他本为善；他的慈爱永远长存！

耶和华有怜悯，有恩惠，不轻易发怒，且有丰盛的慈爱。他不长久责备，也不永远怀怒。他没有按我们的罪待我们，也没有照我们的罪孽报应我们。

哈利路亚！你们要称谢耶和华，因他本为善，他的慈爱永远长存！

因耶和华的慈爱，我们不致灭绝，因他的怜悯永不断绝，

若不是差我来的父吸引人，就没有人能到我这里来；到我这里来的，在末日我要使他复活。

然而，上帝有丰富的怜悯，因着他爱我们的大爱，竟在我们因过犯而死了的时候，使我们与基督一同活过来—可见你们得救是本乎恩—

父亲怎样怜悯他的儿女，耶和华也怎样怜悯敬畏他的人！

有哪一个神明像你，赦免罪孽，饶恕他产业中余民的罪过？他不永远怀怒，喜爱施恩。他必转回怜悯我们，把我们的罪孽踏在脚下。你必将他们一切的罪投于深海。

你们倒要爱仇敌，要善待他们，并要借给人不指望偿还，你们的赏赐就很多了，你们必作至高者的儿子，因为他恩待那忘恩的和作恶的。你们要仁慈，像你们的父是仁慈的。”

约书亚对窥探这地的两个人说：“你们进那妓女的家，照你们向她所起的誓，将那女人和她所有的都从那里带出来。”

由此看来，上帝要怜悯谁就怜悯谁，要使谁刚硬就使谁刚硬。
