I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

I will make my covenant with you last forever. It will be between me and you and your family after you for all time to come. I will be your God. And I will be the God of all your family after you.

And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.

“ I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

I will confirm my covenant that is between me and you and your future offspring throughout their generations. It is a permanent covenant to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.

I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.

當天晚上，耶和華向他顯現說：「我是你父親亞伯拉罕的上帝。你不用懼怕，因為我與你同在。為了我僕人亞伯拉罕的緣故，我必賜福給你，使你子孫眾多。」

耶和華站在梯子上對雅各說：「我是耶和華，是你祖父亞伯拉罕的上帝，也是以撒的上帝。我要把你現在躺臥的地方賜給你和你的後代。

主又說，那些日子以後，我將與以色列家立這樣的約，我要把我的律法放在他們腦中，寫在他們心上。我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。

然而，他們渴慕的是天上更美的家鄉。所以，上帝不以被他們稱為上帝為恥，因為祂已經為他們預備了一座城。

就在那天，耶和華跟亞伯蘭立約，說：「我必將這片土地賜給你的後代，使他們得到從埃及河到幼發拉底河一帶的土地，

我要在你們中間往來。我要做你們的上帝，你們要做我的子民。

因為這應許是給你們和你們的兒女，以及遠方的人，就是所有被主——我們的上帝呼召的人。」

亞伯拉罕的後裔不一定都是亞伯拉罕的兒女，聖經上說：「以撒生的才可算為你的後裔。」這話的意思是：亞伯拉罕憑血氣所生的兒女並不是上帝的兒女，只有憑應許所生的才算是他的後裔。因為上帝曾這樣應許他：「明年這時候，我會再來，撒拉必生一個兒子。」

祂說，『我是亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝。』上帝不是死人的上帝，而是活人的上帝。」

祂憐憫我們的祖先，持守自己的聖約，就是祂對我們的先祖亞伯拉罕所起的誓，要把我們從仇敵手中拯救出來，使我們一生一世在聖潔和公義中坦然無懼地事奉祂。

他們將在那裡安然居住，興建房屋，栽種葡萄園。我審判鄙視他們的四鄰後，他們必安然居住。這樣，他們便知道我是他們的上帝耶和華。』」

又說：「我是你祖先的上帝，是亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝。」摩西害怕看上帝，就把臉蒙起來。

身為以色列人，他們擁有上帝兒子的名分、上帝的榮耀、諸約、律法、聖殿敬拜和各種應許。

祂永遠記得祂的約，歷經千代也不忘祂的應許，就是祂與亞伯拉罕所立的約，向以撒所起的誓。祂把這約定為律例賜給雅各，定為永遠的約賜給以色列。祂說：「我必把迦南賜給你，作為你的產業。」

上帝又對摩西說：「你要告訴以色列人是我派遣你到他們那裡，我是他們祖先的上帝耶和華，是亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝。耶和華是我的名字，直到永遠，世世代代的人都要這樣稱呼我。

你必按古時給我們列祖的誓言，以信實待雅各，以慈愛待亞伯拉罕。

我向他們堅守所立的約，要把他們寄居的迦南賜給他們。

祂扶助了自己的僕人以色列，祂要施憐憫給亞伯拉罕和他的子孫，直到永遠，正如祂對我們祖先的應許。」

現在，倘若你們認真聽從我的話，遵守我的約，就必在萬民中做我的子民，因為普天下都是我的。你們要歸於我，作祭司之國、聖潔之邦。這些話你要告訴以色列人。』」

那時，你們隨從今世的風俗，順服在空中掌權的魔鬼，就是如今在一切叛逆上帝之人心中運行的邪靈。

耶穌看見後很生氣，對門徒說：「讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要阻止他們，因為上帝的國屬於這樣的人。

上帝曾向亞伯拉罕和他的後裔賜下應許，不過這裡沒有說「後裔們」——指許多人，而是說「你的後裔」——指一個人，就是基督。我的意思是：四百三十年後頒佈的律法不會廢除上帝先前立下的約，以致應許落空。

我是你們的上帝耶和華，曾把你們帶出埃及。張開你們的口吧，我必使你們飽足。
