Sarai said to Abram,“ See now, Yahweh has restrained me from bearing. Please go in to my servant. It may be that I will obtain children by her.” Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“耶和华使我不能生育。求你和我的使女同房，或者我可以因她得孩子。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“看哪，耶和华使我不能生育。你来和我的婢女同房，也许我可以从她得孩子。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“看哪，耶和华使我不能生育。你来和我的婢女同房，也许我可以从她得孩子。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“耶和华不让我生育，请你与我的婢女同房，也许我可以借着她生子立后。”亚伯兰同意了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“请看，耶和华使我不能生育，求你去亲近我的婢女，或者我可以从她得孩子。”亚伯兰就听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“看哪，耶和华使我不能生育，请你与我的婢女同房，或许我可以藉着她立后。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：「耶和華使我不能生育。求你和我的使女同房，或者我可以因她得孩子。」亞伯蘭聽從了撒萊的話。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：「耶和華不讓我生育，請你與我的婢女同房，也許我可以藉著她生子立後。」亞伯蘭同意了撒萊的話。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：“請看，耶和華使我不能生育，求你去親近我的婢女，或者我可以從她得孩子。”亞伯蘭就聽從了撒萊的話。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：『你看，永恆主抑制我、使我不能生育；求你進去找我婢女，或者我的後裔得以樹立起來。』亞伯蘭聽從了撒萊的話。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：「看哪，耶和華使我不能生育，請你與我的婢女同房，或許我可以藉著她立後。」亞伯蘭聽從了撒萊的話。

so she said to Abram,“ The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave; perhaps I can build a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

So she said to Abram,“ The Lord has kept me from having children. Go and sleep with my slave. Maybe I can have a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai had said.

And Sarai said to Abram,“ Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ The Lord has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her.” And Abram agreed with Sarai’s proposal.

Sarai said to Abram,“ Since the LORD has prevented me from bearing children, go to my slave; perhaps through her I can build a family.” And Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ See now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Please have relations with my slave woman; perhaps I will obtain children through her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, Jehovah hath restrained me from bearing; go in, I pray thee, unto my handmaid; it may be that I shall obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

Sarai said to Abram,“ Since the Lord has prevented me from bearing children, go to my slave; perhaps through her I can build a family.” And Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ Since the LORD has prevented me from having children, have sexual relations with my servant. Perhaps I can have a family by her.” Abram did what Sarai told him.

Isaac entreated Yahweh for his wife, because she was barren. Yahweh was entreated by him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward.

He said,“ I will certainly return to you at about this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.” Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.

For Yahweh had closed up tight all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.

When Leah saw that she had finished bearing, she took Zilpah, her servant, and gave her to Jacob as a wife.Zilpah, Leah’s servant, bore Jacob a son.

The man said,“ The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”

All the people who were in the gate, and the elders, said,“ We are witnesses. May Yahweh make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which both built the house of Israel; and treat you worthily in Ephrathah, and be famous in Bethlehem.

Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which Yahweh God had made. He said to the woman,“ Has God really said,‘ You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?”The woman said to the serpent,“ We may eat fruit from the trees of the garden,but not the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said,‘ You shall not eat of it. You shall not touch it, lest you die.’”The serpent said to the woman,“ You won’t really die,for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took some of its fruit, and ate. Then she gave some to her husband with her, and he ate it, too.

God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her, and opened her womb.

If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself.

Jacob’s anger burned against Rachel, and he said,“ Am I in God’s place, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”She said,“ Behold, my maid Bilhah. Go in to her, that she may bear on my knees, and I also may obtain children by her.”She gave him Bilhah her servant as wife, and Jacob went in to her.

To Adam he said,“ Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and ate from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.

I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her.”

Rachel said,“ God has judged me, and has also heard my voice, and has given me a son.” Therefore she called his name Dan.
