The angel of the LORD said to her,“ You have conceived and will have a son. You will name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard your cry of affliction.

耶和华的使者再对她说：“看哪，你已经怀了孕，你要生一个儿子；你要给他起名叫以实玛利，因为耶和华听见了你的苦情。

接着耶和华的使者对她说：“看哪，你怀了孕，将会生一个儿子，你要给他起名为以实玛利，因为耶和华听见了你的苦情。

永恆主的使者又對她說：『看哪，你如今懷了孕，必生個兒子；你要給他起名叫以實瑪利，因為你受的苦難永恆主聽見了。

接著耶和華的使者對她說：「看哪，你懷了孕，將會生一個兒子，你要給他起名為以實瑪利，因為耶和華聽見了你的苦情。

又曰、爾今懷妊、必生男子、可命名以實瑪利、蓋耶和華已聞爾苦也、

又曰、爾今懷妊、必生男子、因耶和華俯念爾苦、可命名以實馬利。

主之使者又曰、爾今懷孕、將生一子、因主俯聞爾苦、可命名以實瑪利、以實瑪利譯即天主俯聞之義

And the angel of Jehovah said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son; and thou shalt call his name Ishmael, because Jehovah hath heard thy affliction.

But God said,“ No. Your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. I will confirm my covenant with him as a permanent covenant for his future offspring.

Joseph named the firstborn Manasseh and said,“ God has made me forget all my hardship and my whole family.”And the second son he named Ephraim and said,“ God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”
