你們要跟眾人一齊追求和平與聖化；非聖化，沒有人能看見主。

你們和我們同住吧；這地都在你們面前；你們只管住下來，在這裏作買賣，置產業。

亞比米勒又說：『看哪，我的地都在你面前；你看哪裏好，就住在哪裏。』

總而言之，你們眾人都要同心同情、有親如弟兄之相愛、有憐憫的心腸、並且要謙卑。不可以惡報惡，或以辱罵報辱罵；倒要祝福；因為你們是為了這個而蒙召、好承受祝福的。因為『凡想要愛生命見好日子的人、都應當禁止舌頭不出惡言，嘴脣不說詭詐；他應當避惡而行善，尋求和平而追逐它。因為主的眼看顧義人，主的耳聽他們的祈求；但對行惡的人、主卻要變臉。』

若是可能，總要盡其在你們的、跟眾人和睦。

你們彼此有訴訟的事，這已絕對是你們的失敗了！為甚麼不寧願受冤枉呢？為甚麼不寧願受詐取呢？

我，我和平；但我一說話，他們便要戰爭。

你們中間誰是有智慧有特長的呢？他應當以智慧之柔和、由好的為人指顯出他的行為來。你們若存着苦毒的妒忌和營私爭勝在心裏，別自己誇勝、作假事以敵真理了。這樣的智慧不是從上頭下來的，是屬地上、屬血氣、屬鬼魔的。哪裏有妒忌和營私爭勝，哪裏就有擾亂和各樣的壞事。惟獨從上頭來的智慧、第一是清潔，其次是和平、溫良、柔順，滿有憐恤和美善果子的，不含糊兩可、不假模假樣。並且正義之果子也是在和平中撒種、給締造和平的人收成的。
