Finally, all of you be like-minded and sympathetic, love one another, and be compassionate and humble,not paying back evil for evil or insult for insult but, on the contrary, giving a blessing, since you were called for this, so that you may inherit a blessing.For the one who wants to love life and to see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit,and let him turn away from evil and do what is good. Let him seek peace and pursue it,because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do what is evil.

If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

As it is, to have legal disputes against one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?

I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

Who among you is wise and understanding? By his good conduct he should show that his works are done in the gentleness that comes from wisdom.But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and deny the truth.Such wisdom does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.
