挪亞為耶和華築了一座壇，拿各類潔淨的牲畜、飛鳥獻在壇上為燔祭。

耶和華在幔利橡樹那裏向亞伯拉罕顯現出來。那時正熱，亞伯拉罕坐在帳棚門口，

耶和華向亞伯蘭顯現，說：「我要把這地賜給你的後裔。」亞伯蘭就在那裏為向他顯現的耶和華築了一座壇。從那裏他又遷到伯特利東邊的山，支搭帳棚；西邊是伯特利，東邊是艾。他在那裏又為耶和華築了一座壇，求告耶和華的名。

以色列說：「你去看看你哥哥們平安不平安，羣羊平安不平安，就回來報信給我」；於是打發他出希伯崙谷，他就往示劍去了。

他們從南地上去，到了希伯崙；在那裏有亞衲族人亞希幔、示篩、撻買。（原來希伯崙城被建造比埃及的瑣安城早七年。）

我將耶和華常擺在我面前，因他在我右邊，我便不致搖動。

撒拉死在迦南地的基列‧亞巴，就是希伯崙。亞伯拉罕為她哀慟哭號。

也是他起先築壇的地方；他又在那裏求告耶和華的名。

我願男人無忿怒，無爭論，舉起聖潔的手，隨處禱告；

於是約書亞為耶孚尼的兒子迦勒祝福，將希伯崙給他為業。
