From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.

致那在哥林多属神的教会，就是在基督耶稣里被分别为圣、蒙召成为圣徒的人，以及所有在各地求告我们主耶稣基督之名的人。基督是他们的主，也是我们的主。

让我们起来，上伯特利去，在那里我要造一座祭坛给神；他就是在我患难的日子回应我，在我所行的路上与我同行的那一位。”

犹太人和外邦人并没有分别，原来，万人共同的主，使所有求告他的人都富足。的确，“无论谁求告主名，都将得救。”既然如此，人没有相信他，怎么能求告他呢？没有听说过他，怎么能相信他呢？没有人传讲，怎么能听到呢？
