The Lord appeared to Abram and said,“ To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

爾今所旅之地、即迦南全境、我將賜爾、及爾苗裔、以為永業、我亦為其上帝、○

亞伯蘭年九十有九、耶和華顯見、諭之曰、我乃全能之上帝、爾宜行於我前、而為完人、

即與亞伯拉罕所立之約、對以撒所發之誓、且於雅各為定例、於以色列為永約兮、曰、我必錫爾以迦南地、為爾所得之業兮、當時人寡、其數無幾、旅於斯土兮、

一日亭午、亞伯拉罕坐於幕門、近幔利之橡、耶和華顯見於彼、

夫所許者、乃指亞伯拉罕及其裔而言、不曰諸裔、如指多人、惟指一人、且曰爾裔、即基督也、

凡所見之地、我必賜爾、及爾苗裔、永世弗替、

耶和華諭摩西曰、昔我誓於亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、許錫其裔之地、今爾與所導出埃及之民、啟行往彼、

即前築壇之處、於彼籲耶和華名、

雅各名其地曰毘努伊勒、曰、我與上帝覿面、而我命尚存、

由此遷往伯特利東之山、以張其幕、西有伯特利、東有艾、又為耶和華築壇於彼、而籲其名、

出埃及之眾、自二十歲以上者、既不專從乎我、皆不獲見我所誓於亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之地、

以撒築壇於彼、籲耶和華名、遂張幕、僕鑿井焉、○

亞伯蘭遂遷幕、至希伯崙、近幔利之橡而居、為耶和華築壇焉、

此皆有信而死、未得所許、惟遙望而迎之、自謂在世為賓旅、為寄寓者、

且愛爾上帝耶和華、聽從其言、而依附之、蓋耶和華為爾生命、及爾延年之由、使爾居於其所誓賜爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之地、

昔耶和華誓以斯土、錫爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各、及其苗裔、今地具在爾前、可入而據之、○

耶和華立其巔曰、我乃耶和華、爾祖亞伯拉罕、與以撒之上帝、爾所寢之地、悉以畀爾、爰及苗裔、

兄弟乎、我儕如以撒因應許而為子、

亞伯蘭遂俯伏焉、上帝與之言曰、

昔爾上帝耶和華、誓於爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各、賜爾之地、既導爾入、使得大而且美之邑、非爾所自建者、

挪亞為耶和華築壇、取各類禽畜之潔者、獻燔祭於其上、

至上帝所示之處、亞伯拉罕築壇、臚列其柴、縛子以撒、置於其上、

旅於斯土、我將偕爾、錫爾以嘏、以此列邦賜爾、爰及苗裔、昔與乃父亞伯拉罕所誓者、我必踐其言、

昔我於亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、顯見為全能之上帝、惟未嘗以我耶和華名示之、

是則形軀之子非上帝子、惟應許之子稱裔也、

在彼築壇、名之曰上帝以色列之上帝、
