至撒瑪利亞之一邑、名敘加、與雅各賜子約瑟之地相近、

雅各自巴旦亞蘭來時、安然至迦南地之示劍邑、或作至迦南地示劍之撒冷邑

昔以色列人攜約瑟骸骨出伊及、今葬於示劍、在雅各自示劍父哈抹子孫、以一百基細他一百墓細他見創世紀三十三章十九節小註所購之地、為約瑟子孫之業、

羅波安往示劍、蓋以色列人眾至彼、欲立之為王、

當日主與亞伯蘭立約曰、我以斯地賜爾後裔、自伊及河至伯拉大河、即基尼、基尼洗、甲摩尼、赫、比利洗、利乏音、亞摩利、迦南、革迦撒、耶布斯、諸族之地、

為彼地牧伯希未人哈末子示劍所見、乃執其偕寢而玷辱之、

柩遂舁至敘劍、葬於亞伯拉罕所購之墓、即以金購於敘劍父哈抹之子孫者、
