The Lord had said to Abram,“ Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

亞伯拉罕有信、蒙召承順、往於將受為業之地、既出、不知所往、

諸父兄弟聽之、我祖亞伯拉罕、在米所波大米、未居哈蘭時、有榮之上帝見於彼、謂之曰、出故土、去親族、至吾將示爾之地、遂出迦勒底地、居於哈蘭、其父死後、上帝自彼徙之至此、即爾今所居者、然未嘗以業賜之、即立足之地、亦無之、維時彼尚無子、而上帝許以斯地賜之為業、爰及其裔、且謂其裔將旅於異地、人將奴之虐待之、歷四百年、上帝又曰、

約書亞謂民曰、以色列之上帝耶和華云、古昔爾祖亞伯拉罕、及拿鶴之父他拉、居於河東、崇事他神、我攜爾祖亞伯拉罕、自河東導之徧行迦南地、賜之以撒、繁其苗裔、

且念爾祖亞伯拉罕、及生爾之撒拉、亞伯拉罕孑然一身、我選召之、錫以福祉、俾其昌熾、

爾乃上帝耶和華、昔簡亞伯蘭、導出迦勒底之吾珥、錫名亞伯拉罕、

人就我、而不憎其父母、妻子、兄弟、姊妹、與己生命者、不得為我徒、不負己之十架而從我者、亦不得為我徒、爾曹孰欲建臺、不先坐而計其貲、足以竣事否乎、恐或置基而不克成、見者皆哂之、曰、此人建於始、而不克成於終也、或有王出與他王戰、孰不先坐而運籌、能以一萬禦彼以二萬來攻者否乎、不然、當敵尚遠、則遣使求和矣、如是、凡爾中不盡舍所有者、不得為我徒也、

他拉挈子亞伯蘭、及孫、即哈蘭子羅得、並子婦撒萊、即亞伯蘭妻、咸出迦勒底之吾珥、欲往迦南、至於哈蘭居焉、他拉享壽二百有五歲、終於哈蘭、

人子歟、居於以色列地、荒蕪之處者曰、亞伯拉罕僅一人耳、而得斯土、我儕既眾、必得斯土為業、

又曰、我乃耶和華、昔挈爾出迦勒底之吾珥、將以此地、賜爾承之、

我自地極援爾、自天涯召爾、謂曰、爾乃我僕、我已簡爾、未嘗遺棄、

我又聞有聲自天曰、我民乎、宜出乎彼、免與其罪而受其災、

故曰、爾宜出厥中而自別、勿捫不潔、我則納爾、

女子歟、聽之思之、傾耳聆之、爾之鄉民、爾之父家、勿為繫念兮、王則慕爾之美、彼為爾主、當敬拜之兮、
