上帝曰、宜造人、其形其象肖我儕、以治海魚飛鳥牲畜、及動於地上之昆蟲、並治全地、

若全會既集、皆言方言、有蚩氓或不信者入、豈不謂爾狂乎、

耶和華敗列邦之謀、廢諸民之志兮、

言方言者、非與人言、乃與上帝言、因無人達之、惟以其心而言奧秘也、預言者乃與人言、建立獎勸安慰也、言方言者、建乎己、預言者、建乎會、我願爾眾言方言、尤願爾預言、蓋言方言者、若不譯之、使會建立、則預言者較之為大矣、兄弟乎、如我就爾、第言方言而不以啟示、知識、預言、教誨語爾、則何益哉、夫有聲無氣之物、如簫如琴、使不正其音、焉知所鼓吹者何歟、角聲無定、孰備戰乎、爾曹亦然、若舌不出易解之言、焉知所言乎、乃於空而言耳、世之方言固多、莫不有其義、若不識其義、則言者將以我為夷、我亦將以言者為夷矣、

廢忠誠者之才辯、奪年老者之知識、

諸昆不知約瑟識其言、蓋彼此藉譯傳語、

耶和華曰、以色列家歟、遠方有國、既強且古、爾曹不識其方言、不明其所語、我必導之攻爾、

此乃含之子孫、各依其族姓、方言、疆域、邦國、○

耶和華臨格、欲觀世人所築之城與臺、

敗狡者之計、俾其所謀不得成、令智者自中其詭計、使譎者之謀早敗、

坐於天者將笑之、主必嗤之、

耶和華必使遠民、如鷹之飛、來自地極、以攻擊爾、其言爾不之識、

此數人散處州島、各為方言、族姓、邦國、○

耶和華上帝曰、斯人能別善惡、彷彿我儕、恐其舉手、亦取生命樹果、食之而永生、

主歟、我在邑中、見有強暴紛爭、尚其施行翦滅、變亂其舌兮、

以上所載、皆挪亞子孫之宗族、依其世系邦國、洪水後分析於地、
