耶穌回答說：「那起初造人的，是造男造女，

但從起初創造的時候，神造人是造男造女。

亞當的後代記在下面。（當神造人的日子，是照着自己的樣式造的，並且造男造女。在他們被造的日子，神賜福給他們，稱他們為「人」。）

我們原是他的工作，在基督耶穌裏造成的，為要叫我們行善，就是神所預備叫我們行的。

雖然神有靈的餘力能造多人，他不是單造一人嗎？為何只造一人呢？乃是他願人得虔誠的後裔。所以當謹守你們的心，誰也不可以詭詐待幼年所娶的妻。

耶和華神說：「那人獨居不好，我要為他造一個配偶幫助他。」

男人本不該蒙着頭，因為他是神的形像和榮耀；但女人是男人的榮耀。起初，男人不是由女人而出，女人乃是由男人而出；並且男人不是為女人造的，女人乃是為男人造的。

就是凡稱為我名下的人，是我為自己的榮耀創造的，是我所做成，所造作的。

愛子是那不能看見之神的像，是首生的，在一切被造的以先。

這道理就是歷世歷代所隱藏的奧祕；但如今向他的聖徒顯明了。
