Then God said,“ Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Then God said,“ Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Then God said,“ Let us make human beings so that they are like us. Let them rule over the fish in the seas and the birds in the sky. Let them rule over the livestock and all the wild animals. And let them rule over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Then God said,“ Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”

Then God said,“ Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, the whole earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.”

Then God said,“ Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.”

Then God said,“ Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.”

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Then God said,“ Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.”

God said,“ Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.

and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

Then the Lord God said,“ Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—”

what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.

This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.

The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered.Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.

For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man.

It has been testified somewhere,“ What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him?You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor,putting everything in subjection under his feet.” Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him.But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

“ Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.

See, this alone I found, that God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes.

Jesus answered him,“ If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King!

for“‘ In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,“‘ For we are indeed his offspring.’Being then God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.

You make darkness, and it is night, when all the beasts of the forest creep about.The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God.When the sun rises, they steal away and lie down in their dens.Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening.O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,

And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place,

Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, my servant, and I have given him also the beasts of the field to serve him.

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying,“ Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said,“ Here I am! Send me.”

For you shall be in league with the stones of the field, and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.

But Jesus answered them,“ My Father is working until now, and I am working.”

But none says,‘ Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night,

For you bring some strange things to our ears. We wish to know therefore what these things mean.”
