May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

I never want to brag about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through that cross the ways of the world have been crucified as far as I am concerned. And I have been crucified as far as the ways of the world are concerned.

I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

Yahweh says,“ Don’t let the wise man glory in his wisdom. Don’t let the mighty man glory in his might. Don’t let the rich man glory in his riches.But let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth; for I delight in these things,” says Yahweh.

For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.

knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.

For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;

For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.I have become foolish in boasting. You compelled me, for I ought to have been commended by you, for in nothing was I inferior to the very best apostles, though I am nothing.

Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,

according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be disappointed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

However, I consider those things that were gain to me as a loss for Christ.Yes most certainly, and I count all things to be a loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Christand be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith,that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death,if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

They will say of me,‘ There is righteousness and strength only in Yahweh.’” Even to him will men come. All those who raged against him will be disappointed.All the offspring of Israel will be justified in Yahweh, and will rejoice!

“ If I have made gold my hope, and have said to the fine gold,‘ You are my confidence;’If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, and because my hand had gotten much;

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.

that no flesh should boast before God.Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:that, as it is written,“ He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”

Those who trust in their wealth, and boast in the multitude of their riches—

“ Son of man, tell the prince of Tyre,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said,‘ I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the middle of the seas;’ yet you are man, and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God—

The king spoke and said,“ Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?”While the word was in the king’s mouth, a voice came from the sky, saying,“ O king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken:‘ The kingdom has departed from you.

But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him.He was driven from the sons of men, and his heart was made like the animals’, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky; until he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and that he sets up over it whomever he will.

but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews, and foolishness to Greeks,

But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from those who desire an occasion, that in which they boast, they may be found even as we.

May it never be! Yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar. As it is written,“ that you might be justified in your words, and might prevail when you come into judgment.”But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what will we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts wrath? I speak like men do.May it never be! For then how will God judge the world?

Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying,“ The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying,‘ Give your daughter to my son as wife. Then a wild animal that was in Lebanon passed by, and trampled down the thistle.You have indeed struck Edom, and your heart has lifted you up. Enjoy the glory of it, and stay at home; for why should you meddle to your harm, that you fall, even you, and Judah with you?’”But Amaziah would not listen. So Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth Shemesh, which belongs to Judah.

Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God’s loving kindness endures continually.

May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father—

For the love of Christ constrains us; because we judge thus, that one died for all, therefore all died.He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
