彼受割而不守法、欲因爾而誇、故使爾受割、

彼受割禮、而不守律法、欲爾守割禮、致彼因爾之外貌儀文、有所可誇、

蓋若輩雖受割禮、自身亦何嘗遵守禮法。其所以欲爾同受割禮者、惟欲借爾之形體、為彼炫耀之資耳。

Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh.

Even those who are circumcised don’t obey the law. But they want you to be circumcised. Then they can brag about what has been done to your body.

你們這樣自誇是不好的。你們不知道一點麵酵能使全團發起來嗎？

因為真受割禮的，就是我們這藉着上帝的靈敬拜、以基督耶穌為誇耀、不依靠肉體的。

但是你，你既自稱為猶太人，倚靠律法，以上帝誇口，知道上帝的旨意，從律法受了教導而能分辨是非；你既深信自己是給盲人領路的，是在黑暗中人的光，是無知的人的師傅，是小孩子的老師，體現了律法中的知識和真理；那麼，你這教導別人的，還不教導自己嗎？你這宣講不可偷竊的，自己還偷竊嗎？你這說不可姦淫的，自己還姦淫嗎？你這厭惡偶像的，自己還搶劫廟中之物嗎？你這以律法誇口的，自己倒違犯律法，羞辱上帝！上帝的名在外邦人中因你們受了褻瀆，正如經上所記的。你若遵行律法，割禮固然於你有益；若違犯律法，你的割禮就算不得割禮。

「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們走遍海洋陸地，說服一個人入教，既入了教，卻使他成為比你們加倍壞的地獄之子。

所以，無論誰都不可誇耀人；因為萬有都是你們的，

所以凡他們所吩咐你們的，你們都要謹守遵行。但不要效法他們的行為，因為他們能說不能行。

「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們將薄荷、大茴香、小茴香獻上十分之一，那律法上更重要的事，就是公義、憐憫、信實，你們反倒不做；這原是你們該做的－至於那些奉獻也不可廢棄。

他們應許人自由，自己卻作了腐敗的奴隸，因為人被誰制伏就是誰的奴隸。

那又怎麼樣呢？我們比他們強嗎？絕不是！因我們已經指證：猶太人和希臘人都在罪惡之下。就如經上所記：「沒有義人，連一個也沒有。沒有明白的，沒有尋求上帝的。人人偏離正路，一同走向敗壞。沒有行善的，連一個也沒有。他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓；他們的舌頭玩弄詭詐。他們的嘴唇裏有毒蛇的毒液，滿口是咒罵苦毒。他們的腳為殺人流血飛跑；他們的路留下毀壞和災難。和平的路，他們不認識；他們眼中不怕上帝。」我們知道律法所說的話都是對律法之下的人說的，好塞住各人的口，使普世的人都伏在上帝的審判之下。

既然有好些人憑着血氣在誇口，我也要誇口了。
