爾齋戒時、毋戚戚然作憂色、一如虛偽者之故毀厥容、惟恐人之不知其齋戒也。吾實語爾、彼已獲其報矣。

凌占孤寒之產、而以長禱為矯飾之具、此輩之受譴、必有異乎尋常者焉。』

蓋方今天下、與基督之十字架為敵者滔滔皆是也。此予已屢為爾曹陳之、今復涕泣為爾等道之；

爾祈禱時、亦勿效虛偽之徒；蓋若輩喜立於堂中街頭、而作祈禱、故令人見。吾實語爾、彼已獲其報矣。
