總之、爾如今不復為奴僕、而為兒女矣。既為兒女、則亦為天主之哲嗣也。

So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

So you aren’t a slave any longer. You are God’s child. Because you are his child, God gives you the rights of those who are his children.

Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.

So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then God has made you an heir.

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave, though he is the owner of everything,but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father.

The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,and if children, then heirs— heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

Not like these is he who is the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the Lord of hosts is his name.

So, brothers, we are not children of the slave but of the free woman.For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

“ The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,“ therefore I will hope in him.”

What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,“ I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them.I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.”

The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.

The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
