夫血氣之兒女、必仇視聖神之兒女、古今一體。

But just as at that time the one born by natural descent persecuted the one born according to the Spirit, so it is now.

那時，撒拉看見埃及人夏甲為亞伯拉罕所生的兒子戲笑，

弟兄們，我若仍舊傳割禮，為甚麼還受迫害呢？若是這樣，十字架絆倒人的地方就沒有了。

你們若順從肉體活着，必定會死；若靠着聖靈把身體的惡行處死，就必存活。

所以，我差遣先知、智慧人和文士到你們這裏來，有的你們要殺害，要釘十字架；有的你們要在會堂裏鞭打，從這城追逼到那城，如此，地上所有義人流的血都歸到你們身上，從義人亞伯的血起，直到你們在聖所和祭壇中間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止。我實在告訴你們，這一切的罪都要歸到這世代了。」「耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常殺害先知，又用石頭打死那奉差遣到你這裏來的人。我多少次想聚集你的兒女，好像母雞把小雞聚集在翅膀底下，但是你們不願意。

我愛你們，正如父愛我一樣；你們要常在我的愛裏。

耶穌回答：「我實實在在地告訴你，人若不是從水和聖靈生的，就不能進上帝的國。

弟兄們，你們與猶太地區上帝的各教會，就是在基督耶穌裏的各教會，有同樣的遭遇，因為你們也受了同胞的迫害，像他們受了猶太人的迫害一樣。這些猶太人不但殺了主耶穌和先知們，又把我們趕出去。他們令上帝不悅，且與眾人為敵，

一面在眾人面前公然被毀謗，遭患難；一面陪伴那些受這樣苦難的人。你們同情那些遭監禁的人，也欣然忍受你們的家業被人搶去，因為你們知道自己有更美好更長存的家業。

那使女所生的是按着肉體生的；那自由的婦人所生的是憑着應許生的。

如今，那些在基督耶穌裏的人就不被定罪了。

那些想要炫耀外表的人才勉強你們受割禮，無非是怕自己為基督的十字架受迫害。他們那些受割禮的，連自己也不守律法；他們要你們受割禮，不過是要拿你們的肉體誇口。但我絕不以別的誇口，只誇我們主耶穌基督的十字架；因這十字架，就我而論，世界已經釘在十字架上；就世界而論，我已經釘在十字架上。
