爾若是之愚乎、始之以聖神、今成之以形軀乎、

何爾竟如此之無知耶、始則受聖神、今乃以儀文終乎、

爾始以聖神、今欲終以儀文、爾竟如此無知乎、

其以聖神始、而以形跡終乎？豈爾之冥頑不靈、一至於此乎？

Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?

Are you so foolish? You began by the Holy Spirit. Are you now trying to finish God’s work in you by your own strength?

Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?

How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?

Are you so foolish? After beginning by the Spirit, are you now finishing by the flesh?

Ye are severed from Christ, ye who would be justified by the law; ye are fallen away from grace.For we through the Spirit by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.Ye were running well; who hindered you that ye should not obey the truth?This persuasion came not of him that calleth you.

which is a figure for the time present; according to which are offered both gifts and sacrifices that cannot, as touching the conscience, make the worshipper perfect,being only( with meats and drinks and divers washings) carnal ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation.

As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they compel you to be circumcised; only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.For not even they who receive circumcision do themselves keep the law; but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.But far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world hath been crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

So that thou art no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.Howbeit at that time, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to them that by nature are no gods:but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?Ye observe days, and months, and seasons, and years.

who hath been made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life:for it is witnessed of him, Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek.For there is a disannulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness( for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in thereupon of a better hope, through which we draw nigh unto God.

For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, wherein were the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the Holy place.
