蓋爾等皆因信仰耶穌基督、而成天主之子女矣。

He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

And I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.

But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name,who were born, not of natural descent, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.

For all those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons.For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear. Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out,“ Abba, Father!”The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children,and if children, also heirs— heirs of God and coheirs with Christ— if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world,

to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying,“ Abba, Father!”

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son.

“ Don’t cling to me,” Jesus told her,“ since I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them that I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.”

For in bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God— for whom and through whom all things exist— should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.For the one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,saying: I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters; I will sing hymns to you in the congregation.Again, I will trust in him. And again, Here I am with the children God gave me.Now since the children have flesh and blood in common, Jesus also shared in these, so that through his death he might destroy the one holding the power of death— that is, the devil—and free those who were held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.

Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children,
