因为承受产业，若本乎律法，就不本乎应许；但神是凭着应许，把产业赐给亚伯拉罕。

若云嗣業係據律法、則不復淵源於恩諾矣。然而嗣業、固天主所許於亞伯漢之恩賜也。

For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

The great gift that God has for us does not depend on the law. If it did, it would no longer depend on the promise. But God gave it to Abraham as a free gift through a promise.

For if the inheritance comes by the law, it no longer comes by promise; but God gave it to Abraham by a promise.

For if the inheritance could be received by keeping the law, then it would not be the result of accepting God’s promise. But God graciously gave it to Abraham as a promise.

并且不懈怠，总要效法那些凭信心和忍耐承受应许的人。当初神应许亚伯拉罕的时候，因为没有比自己更大可以指着起誓的，就指着自己起誓，说：“论福，我必赐大福给你；论子孙，我必叫你的子孙多起来。”这样，亚伯拉罕既恒久忍耐，就得了所应许的。

因为神应许亚伯拉罕和他后裔，必得承受世界，不是因律法，乃是因信而得的义。若是属乎律法的人才得为后嗣，信就归于虚空，应许也就废弃了。因为律法是惹动忿怒的；哪里没有律法，那里就没有过犯。所以人得为后嗣是本乎信，因此就属乎恩，叫应许定然归给一切后裔；不但归给那属乎律法的，也归给那效法亚伯拉罕之信的。

向我们列祖施怜悯，记念他的圣约，就是他对我们祖宗亚伯拉罕所起的誓，

神啊，有何神像你，赦免罪孽，饶恕你产业之余民的罪过，不永远怀怒，喜爱施恩？必再怜悯我们，将我们的罪孽踏在脚下，又将我们的一切罪投于深海。你必按古时起誓应许我们列祖的话，向雅各发诚实，向亚伯拉罕施慈爱。

既是儿女，便是后嗣，就是神的后嗣，和基督同作后嗣。如果我们和他一同受苦，也必和他一同得荣耀。

我不废掉神的恩；义若是藉着律法得的，基督就是徒然死了。

所以，你们因信基督耶稣都是神的儿子。

所应许的原是向亚伯拉罕和他子孙说的。神并不是说“众子孙”，指着许多人，乃是说“你那一个子孙”，指着一个人，就是基督。

这都因他记念他的圣言和他的仆人亚伯拉罕。

凡以行律法为本的，都是被咒诅的；因为经上记着：“凡不常照律法书上所记一切之事去行的，就被咒诅。”

你们既属乎基督，就是亚伯拉罕的后裔，是照着应许承受产业的了。

律法原不本乎信，只说：“行这些事的，就必因此活着。”

他扶助了他的仆人以色列，为要记念亚伯拉罕和他的后裔，施怜悯直到永远，正如从前对我们列祖所说的话。”
